How to borrow eBooks from the NLB Mobile app

Step 1

Open the NLB Mobile app and tap on the ‘Search’ tab. Enter the title of the eBook that you
wish to borrow. You can also search for eBooks according to subject categories, by tapping
on the ‘eBooks’ tab as well as sort them according to language and type.

Step 2

If the eBook is available, tap on ‘Borrow’ to borrow the eBook immediately.


If the eBook is not available, tap on ‘Reserve’ to borrow the eBook. You will be placed on a
waiting list, and the eBook will be automatically borrowed and placed under your account
when it becomes available.

Step 3

Tap on ‘Yes’ to borrow/reserve the eBook.


Step 4

Once you have borrowed the eBook, you can choose to read it online through the NLB
Mobile app or download the eBook through the OverDrive app to read it offline.

Step 5

If you wish to download the eBook, tap on ‘Download’.

Note: The OverDrive app is required to download the eBook for offline reading. If you do not
already have the OverDrive app on your device, a pop-up will prompt you to download the
app.
Step 6

Tap on ‘Get’ (App Store) or ‘Install’ (Play Store) to download the OverDrive app. Once the
download is complete, tap on the OverDrive app icon to open the app.

Step 7

Tap on ‘Sign In’. Select ‘Sign in using library card’ and log in using your myLibrary ID account.
Step 8

Search for ‘National Library Board’, and tap on any public library to log in with your
myLibrary ID account.

in, you will see

Step 9

Return to the NLB Mobile app and tap on ‘Download’. You will be redirected to a webpage.
Tap on ‘Open in “OverDrive”’ to open your eBook.

The eBook has been added to your bookshelf in the Overdrive app. Select any of the eBooks
to start reading.
