User Guide
Log in to Cardinal EDGE using your credentials.
Go to Organizations and select the link "Mapua
Digital Textbooks"
Click VitalSource bridge to access all the Digital
textbooks

1 Browse to navigate on the titles

2 Home button shows all titles in the collection
3 My Story shows what books the users launched and returned
4 Search Bar gives you the convenience to search over 11 000 plus e-textbooks
5 User concurrency shows the number of books you can borrow at one go
6 “i” icon to view the details of a book
7 Activate button to activate and bring you to your book
Upon clicking the “i” button (6), a brief description of
the book will display. Click activate.
To view the digital book online, click launch.
For first time access, users should sign-up
for a Bookshelf account by clicking "Create an account" or
"Get Started". In creating your account, use your Mapua
email.
The selected digital textbook will be launched in an
online bookshelf.

To view the Digital textbook offline, launch the VitalSource Bookshelf
app on your desktop by clicking the gear icon on the lower left of your
screen. Then click read offline.
If you don’t have the app in your desktop yet, for
personal laptops, just click the link to bring you to
the download link of the app. However, if it is for
Mapua issued laptops, go to the DOIT office and
have it installed.
Offline bookshelf displays the Digital Textbook ready
to be downloaded for offline access. Same process
goes with the bookshelf offline in accessing the
eBook.
To return a book, go back to your VitalSource Bridge
and choose the book you want to return. Then click
Return Now.
