1. Drilling / Welding  Fire& Explosion  Ensure the all work under proper supervisions & all
workmen pre brief about job & hazards.
 Flash Back  Ensure that before start of work tank should be

PPE`s like Electric shock proof gloves (IS 4770) & safety
shoes.
 Only cotton cloth will be allowed to the hot work.
 Ensure that rod holder, cables should be in good

condition.
 Proper flame proof JBs for extension & connector for
joints with cable hoods should be use.
 If cables are crossing the road then ensure proper
protection.
 All workmen should be use proper PPE for welding like
asbestos jackets, leather Gloves, goggles/welding mask,
welding shield.
 Make sure spark containment is used such as separate
containers use for hot tabs end Pieces of welding rods.
 First Aid box should be maintained with proper
medicines.
 Do not cut near electrical fittings or lines.
 All instructions on Hot Work Permit must be followed.
 Ensure Work to be done under close supervision and
stand by electrician.
 Ensure sufficient illumination during night work.
