Zones

Zones are virtual perimeters around a geographical real-world area. They are used to identify important
locations such as offices, customer sites, delivery locations, etc. Zones assist in establishing driver
accountability, increasing productivity, and tracking high value assets.

 Zones or geofences. You can also create zones for places you do not want vehicles to be, such as
local bar.

How to Add zones:

 Go to Map and click Add Zones, or to Zones & Messages, zones, click Add Zone
 Either type in address in search bar, or zoom in to the area where you want to create zone
 Start clicking around the area you would like to create zone, close off by clicking on the first one
 Zone edit screen will appear. Assign name, zone type, color, groups, and Save

How to Bulk Import:

 Navigate to Zones & Messages, Import Zones to view two sample templates
 First uses latitude and longitude coordinates, while second uses street address

Routes
A route is a sequence of zones strung together to plan a path for a vehicle. Routes are valuable in
tracking deviations from a plan and optimizing miles driven.

Identify optimal routes for regular stop locations; coach fleet against unplanned stops during work
hours; coach fleet against extra mileage during un-optimized driving; curb longer than optimal stop time

How to Create Route:

 Navigate to Zones & Messages, then Routes, then routes, click Add route button
 Click on the map, click to create waypoint
 Continue selecting zones and waypoint on the map. First zone marked as Green dot, you last a
Red dot and locations in between are orange dots. Click Save once done
 Give description, reorder by dragging and dropping if needed, optimize will reorganize based on
the shortest distance between them, Click save

How to Edit Routes:

 Select the routes form the list

 Reorder, rename, comment, optimize the route.
 To add new zone or waypoint to route, click show on map

Send Vehicles to Drivers:

 Click on “send to vehicle” and select drivers you want to send that route
 Click “view” to give paper version of routes to drivers

Create Plan:

 It does the same thing what “send vehicles to Drivers” but it’s planed ahead.
 Select the route, click Create Plan
 Select a vehicle and start date
 Reorder the stops, start time
 First box shows what time trip starts; second how long it takes to get there; third how long they
should be there.
 All the other fields will also change

Planned Vs. Actual Report

 Report shows each stop made or missed, whether it was planned or not
 Arrival time, drive time, distance and stop duration
 Click view to see more details, or see it on the map

Unmatched Route

 The report is used to show all the vehicle travel that was NOT part of a route. Very useful for
fleets or groups of vehicles that should always be driving a specific route

Route summary

 Reports used to find vehicles that are driving on or near routes. Most useful for using historical
data to determine if multiple vehicles are on the same route, or if routes could be modified for
optimization
