Pick Up Glossary
Escalation: Any behavior that leads an interaction closer to sex. Escalation can be
verbal, physical, or logistical.
Value: Any trait or behavior which arouses a member of the opposite sex. Any trait
or behavior which would correlate to the ability to survive and replicate in the
evolutionary environment.
Comfort: Lack of discomfort. A measure of the amount of trust and shared positive
history present in an interaction.
Needy: Seeking value or validation from another person rather than being
emotionally self-sufficient. Typically this is also related to caring very much
about the outcome of an interaction. It conveys low value as it tend to indicate a
lack of dating options.
Friend zone: Building only comfort with the girl with no sexual attraction
Neg: Saying a negative comment, often times to control the energy in the
interaction. Goes with push-pull. Pull with positive, push with negative.
Cocky and funny: A style of behavior designed to arouse girls emotionally. By being
playful you are able to say things that might be too offensive or off putting
otherwise. Also the ability to be a little more risky conveys that you are not
needy.
Kino: Touching a girl (short for kinaesthetic). The idea being that touching a girl
arouses her and communicates that it��s a sexual interaction.
Shit test: A woman��s way of finding out who you truly are
Anti-slut defense: A female instinct to follow social conditioning and not be
labeled a ��slut��. Typically this may keep her from having sex or leaving with a
guy, even if she��s aroused. This is particularly strong when the girl is with her
friends, but can also occur in isolation because girls don��t want a self-
perception of being slutty either.
Game: An expression of your inner state conveyed by the rhythms you use to direct
the energy of the social interaction
Outer game: All action towards game taken outside your mind, ie. approaching,
screening, building rapport, leading, pulling, closing
Inner game: All action towards game taken inside your mind, ie. reading, working
out, meditating, building work ethic, building a set of beliefs, building
confidence
Meditation: Turning off your thinking mind, getting into your body
Chode: Beta male. Good game sometimes requires you to ��chode�� yourself up in
order to build comfort
Building Attraction: One half of game, this involves letting the girl know you are
a man, you have a penis, and your intent is to have sex
Building Comfort: Other half of game, this involves showing the girl that you are
just a regular person and not simply a certified pimp sex god. This involves
relating to the girl.
Building Rapport: Another way to say building comfort. This is building a mutual
trust and connection with the girl
One-itis: When you are only talking to one girl and are in scarcity to the point
where you began to believe the girl is better/more important than she actually is.
Scarcity: When you don��t have enough girls to truly not give a fuck what happens
Leading: Controlling the interaction and being the one who takes the action and
makes the plans. This is what girls crave men do. ��Be the man with the plan��
Logistics: The details that need to be figured out in order to determine the plan
to close. This includes where the girl stays, who she is there with, how she is
getting home, when are her friends leaving, how long is she in town for.
State: The feeling of getting into ��the zone��, getting into a flow state (when
you take so much action you get out of your thinking head)
