Procedure

1. Tell students they are going to practice asking for and

giving people’s names. Elicit the following questions
and write them on the board: What’s his name? What’s
her name? What are their names? You may also want to
review the alphabet.
2. Put students in pairs and distribute worksheets and
pictures. In each pair, one student receives the Student A
worksheet and the other the Student B worksheet. They
share the picture. Tell students that they should not look
at their partner’s worksheet.
3. Model the activity by pointing to person 1 on the
worksheet and asking: What’s his name? Elicit the answer
(Joon Kim) from Students B and ask: How do you spell
it? Have Students A write the answer in the blank in their
sheets.
4. Have pairs continue asking and answering questions
about the people in the pictures.
