Bukit Lawang is a tourist spot located in Bahorok District, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra

Province. Bukit lawang is a gateway into the Sumatran forest with a beautiful and amazing
view because it is located at the foot of Mount Leuser. There we can see funny primates
named orang utans.
Orangutan? Yep ... Because there is a rehabilitation place for orangutans and other
interesting flora and fauna. There are also elephants, tigers and rhinos that inhabit the Bukit
Lawang forest. Another thing that is often done when visiting Bukit Lawang is tubing
tourism. Tubing tourism is water tourism such as rafting but the boat used is a tire and can
only be ridden one person for one tire. This location is indeed often used as a tourist spot
tubing because it is close to the Bahorok River current with the swift river flow.

Rahmat International Wildlife Museum and Gallery is a museum and gallery that holds a
variety of amazing collections consisting of various preserved wild animals that come from
hunting grounds in various places throughout the world. Rahmat International Wildlife
Museum and Gallery is also the only one in Asia which has a collection of ± 2000 species
from various countries ranging from the smallest to the largest according to their habitat.
The museum and gallery were officially opened by the Minister of Education and Culture of
the Republic of Indonesia, namely Prof. Dr. Juwono Sudarsono, MA on May 14, 1999. Due to
the high level of public interest in the museum and gallery, an expansion of a wider building
with more complete facilities with an area of ± 3000 m² was inaugurated by the President of
Indonesia, Dr. H. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, MA on November 13, 2007.
The place that is said to be the first wildlife gallery in Southeast Asia is owned by a
businessman and professional hunter named Rahmat Shah. Rahmat was the first Indonesian
to receive international awards and recognition such as The Big Five Grand Slam Awards and
World Hunting Awards.

North Sumatra has a variety of extraordinary natural beauty that is not owned by other
provinces. One of them, which you can make a holiday destination this year is Lake Toba.
Lake Toba is located in the mountains of Bukit Barisan, North Sumatra. The area is 1,145
square kilometers which makes it the widest lake in Southeast Asia and is larger than
Singapore [716 km].
Lake Toba is also the largest lake in the world formed by volcanic eruptions, and is included
in the Guinness World Records list. In the middle of Lake Toba there is an island called
Samosir. The island is close to the size of the country of Singapore and has several villages
with extraordinary natural attractions, such as mountains and waterfalls.
Samosir Island and Lake Toba are the heart and home of the Batak Tribe. You can also feel
the hospitality of the villagers while knowing their culture.
