About NM College

Established in 1964 by Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal, under


the benevolence of Shri Chatrabhuj Bhai Narsee, the college
was named after his father Shri Narsee Monjee. The visionary
founders, besides contributing financially have also spurred
this institution to reach the pinnacle in the field of education.
Narsee Monjee was ranked amongst the top 5 colleges by
India Today Magazine in the year 2017.
About Us

N M C - M U N Club is an official Model United Nations Club of


Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics. The club
started its functions from academic year 2017-18, this year it
will be the third edition of the N M C - M U N Conference.
OUR VISION

We provide International and Multicultural exposure to the


students, to help them understand and resolve global issues
effective way, through a formal debate, and to create future
diplomats of the world.

HISTORICAL
SECURITY COUNCIL

The Security Council has primary responsibility for the


maintenance of international peace and security. The Security
Council takes the lead in determining the existence of a threat
to the peace or act of aggression. It calls upon the parties to a
dispute to settle it by peaceful means and recommends
methods of adjustment or terms of settlement. In some cases,
the Security Council can resort to imposing sanctions or even
authorize the use of force to maintain or restore international
peace and security.

ENVIRONMENT PROGRAMME

The United Nations Environment Programme (U N E P) is the


leading global environmental authority that sets the global
environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation
of the environmental dimension of sustainable development
within the United Nations system, and serves as an
authoritative advocate for the global environment.
UNITED NATIONS
WOMEN

U N Women is the global champion for gender equality,


working to develop and uphold standards and create an
environment in which every woman and girl can exercise her
human rights and live up to her full potential. We are trusted
partners for advocates and decision-makers from all walks of
life, and a leader in the effort to achieve gender equality.
LOK SABHA

The Lok Sabha is composed of representatives of people


chosen by direct election on the basis of Universal Adult
Suffrage. Maximum strength of the House is 552 members -
530 members to represent the States, 20 members to
represent the Union Territories, and 2 members to be
nominated by the President from the Anglo-Indian Community.
At present, the strength of the House is 545. The term of the
Lok Sabha, unless dissolved, is five years from the date
appointed for its first meeting.
INTERNATIONAL

IP is an association of media professionals representing

countries. Our membership provides the clearest evidence
