David: Hey, Felix! What’s wrong?
Felix: Nothing, I just feel a little bit disappointed.
David: About what?
Felix: About Donald Trump as a president.
David: What do you hate about him?
Felix: I hate that Donald Trump is such a shallow person.
David: Why do you think like that?
Felix: Because he thinks most of the Muslims are terrorists. While in reality there are a lot of
Muslims who don’t approve terrorism acts.
David: Well, you can’t blame him. Because there are a lot of terrorism acts, which are proven, to
be committed by some Islamic groups. For example, “The September 11 Attacks” which was
committed by Al – Qaeda, an Islamic group, in USA.
Felix: Okay that’s true, but that terrorism acts were committed by radical Muslim groups which
have decreased in recent years. Now, there are almost no terrorism acts which are committed by
the Muslims. The act, of Donald Trump of banning the Muslims from entering USA is
ridiculous.
David: That is only from your opinion. In my opinion, Donald Trump is actually a sympathetic
person too. He cares for other people who are in need and supports them. For example, he stood
with the people of Hong Kong. He warned China not to use violence to suppress pro –
democracy protests and signed the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act.
Felix: Heh, I think Donald Trump is a pretentious person. He does that good acts for fame and
recognition. He wants everybody to recognize him as a good person who really cares for others. I
really doubt that he would do that because of the kindness in his heart.
David: Hah, you are a stubborn one, aren’t you? Then, what do you suggest?
Felix: I think Hillary Clinton would make a better president than Donald Trump.
David: Why do you think so?
Felix: For me she is not a hypocritical person. She really cares about people. For example, she
cleared the way for the Children’s Health Insurance Program and provide 1 billion dollars to
support it. Which provides health care to more than eight million children.
David: For all I know, she could do that for fame too right?
Felix: You’re wrong. She spends 1 billion dollars for the program which in turn save a lot of
children’s lives. I don’t believe Donald Trump would do it. Other than that, she championed the
Violence Against Women Act that provides financial and technical assistance to states to help
them develop programs that stops domestic violence, sexual assaults, and stalking. She also
supported the 1997 Adoption and Safe Families Act and lobbied Congress for the 1999 Foster
Care Independence Act.
David: Whoa! Okay, I admit that Hillary Clinton has her own merits. But the reason she lost the
election, was because she couldn’t manage the economy of America well. There are a lot of
Americans who are dissatisfied with her way of managing the economy. Other than that, she
lacked the trust that the Americans have. This are caused by the paid speeches to Goldman Sachs
and a murky web of business connections to the family charity which left a lot of Americans to
doubt Clinton’s sincerity on matters of money and much else. The last reason she lost to Donald
Trump was because she mainly sells herself and have a weak message. This in turn just make
people dislike her and doubt her.
Felix: Yeah I guess every president have their own strength and weakness.
David: Yes, I agree. That’s why as a good citizen we must work together to make this country a
better one in the future.
