My Life as a CLSU Student

by Baby Joy A. Bautista

To be a Certified Public Accountant by 2020, that's my ultimate dream and that is why I entered Central
Luzon State University. Entering the university means entering a battlefield where your resources-
mental, financial, physical, emotional, are your weapons and all the requirements that cause stress are
your enemies.

My first week in CLSU was not easy. I got homesick and scared because my home is my comfort zone. But
I was so amazed when I entered he university. The wide ricefields, green and fresh surroundings,
beautiful sceneries and the hospitality of the faculties and students of CLSU amazed me.

Just like every other students, I also faced hardships as I pursue my dream. I erperienced eating rice with
"mantika and bagoong" as ulam, loaning from friends because of financial problem, sleeping only 2
hours to meet deadlines and crying every night because of so much stress.

My journey just like yours is bumpy. When I took the BS Accounting Tecchnology qualifying exam I
prayed to God that if it's not meant for me, I will accept it. I'm not so confident of my self but I did my
best in taking the examination. I'm not expecting myself to pass the examination but I did. Thanks to
God. Actually, I thought accountancy was all about math but I was wrong and there are times that I
wonder whether I am on the right track or not.
