Requirements:
1. You must have earned 12 credits at KCC before Credit for Prior Learning can be awarded.
2. Only 35% of a degree’s credits can come from Credit for Prior Learning.
3. Credit for Prior Learning may not be used to establish KCC’s residency requirement
4. Only those subject areas taught by KCC will be considered.
5. Courses that were taken as community education courses or that were received through an industry recognized certification
process that are approved for prior learning credit may require a prior learning fee.
6. Academic credit will be awarded and transcribed only for those courses formally approved by the institution’s curriculum
approval process(es). Credit must be directly applicable to meet requirements selected courses as outlined in college
publications.
