Jaeger includes our signature big knob effects system which you'll be familiar with if you've used any of our other libraries.
On the main page you will find four collapsible panels, which you can hide and show to your hearts content.
Options Panel: On the options panel you can configure how the library interprets incoming midi data. You can transpose midi
data by octave or semitone. You also have a range option, to artificially increase the playable range of the library. And you
have a velocity curve to allow you to tailor the library to your particular keyboard or just to your preference.
Articulations Panel: On the articulations panel you have a list of all the articulations in the patch. Individual articulations can
be loaded and purged by clicking the little circle in the top right. You can switch between articulations by clicking on them,
by clicking on the key switches or by playing a keyswitch on your midi keyboard. The keyswitches can be moved using the
(lockable) keyswitch rage slider which you can find in the two left of the articulations panel.
Control Panel: Dynamics and Expression are the standard controllers that you'll find in many other orchestral libraries. The
dynamic slider allows you to crossfade between the recorded dynamic levels on the legato, sustain, and Tremolo articulations
and the expression slider is basically just a volume control. The sample start slider tells the library to play more or less of the
attack sound of any note played. This can very useful for making the library feel more responsive when being played live with
the midi keyboard (for example when you need to get really tight and fast played spiccatos). The legato sample start slider
allows you to hear more or less of the legato sample, with the slider to the left we'll hear more of each legato sample and
with the slider to the right you'll hear less. With hearing less it will feel much more responsive if being played live on a midi
keyboard. The legato sample start slider also lets us make faster runs sound more realistic. The dynamic range slider allows
you to control the dynamic range for each articulations and can be very useful if you're finding that the quietest dynamic level
just isn't quite quiet enough for you.
Mixer Panel: By default each patch is loaded with the mix mic position, but you also have the option to load the spot, decca
tree, wide, or far mics. The panel also allows you to mute, solo, and pan any of the mic positions.

The controls on the FX page follow the way the signal path is set up in the engine:
1. “Jaeger” comes with a very unique step modulator script, which allows you to draw
complex curves for controlling up to 10 independent modifiers: 4 Volume modifiers, 4
Pan modifiers, 1 Low Pass Filter modifier and 1 High Pass Filter modifier. Volume and
Pan are designed in a way, so that you can activate more than one step modulator at a
time without any conflicting. In addition, you can control the number of steps, the
frequency and the intensity.
The step modulator (which now latches) is controlled using keyswitches (from C6 to A6)
and the color of the tab corresponds to the keyswitch that controls it.
2. “Jaeger” offers a script concept called Big Knob, which was inspired by our Klavier
libraries (See next page).
3. The Insert FX section allows you to add selected Insert FX (Compressor, Distortion,
Lo-Fi, Rotator, Chorus, Flanger, Phaser) and control the individual FX parameters.
4. The Send FX section allows you to add selected Send FX (Delay and Reverb) and
control the individual FX parameters.

Big Knob
In a nutshell, the Big Knob serves as an additional Insert FX page, to give you
the power to make even more complex effects.
But the real power of Big Knob is that you can control any parameter of a total
of 7 (combinable) effects: Compressor, Distortion, Lo-Fi, Rotator, Chorus,
Flanger, Phaser.
Assign Panel
The Assign Panel allows to dive into the individual parameters for every effect
that you want the Big Knob to control.
• Assign selection: Select a parameter to be controlled with the Big Knob. The
selection changes according to the selected effect.
• Assign On/Off: Clicking on the parameter in the dropdown menu, assigns
the selected parameter to the Big Knob.
• From: Determines the controller start point percentage.
• To: Determines the controller end point percentage.
