ABSTRACT
The aim of this research is improving student learning result and develop the four-point
values of character education which are discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and communicative
as student personalities former through the implementation of jigsaw cooperative learning model
on the study program of light vehicle in class XI (XI TKR) SMK Murni 1 Surakarta.
This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The results indicates that through
the implementation of discussion on the model of jigsaw cooperative learning could improve
student learning result and develop the four-point values of character education which are
discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and communicative as student personalities former. In the
first cycle, the average result of the pre-test that has been completed is 40,40 and the results of
post-test score is 45.68. In the second cycle, the average value of the pre-test results that have been
done is 47.25 and the results of post-test score is 76.68. The result of observation sheet in the first
cycle is 61.17 and 86.82 for the second cycle.
The conclusion of this research is that the implementation of character education through
the four points of value on the human character in vocational competence learning through the
jigsaw cooperative learning model in SMK Murni 1 Surakarta able to improve learning result and
develop students personality which hold on the formation of human character.
