TIER 4 VISA CHECKLIST – 2018/19

You have been identified as a potential Tier 4 visa student. In order to help us process your information
and produce a Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) for your visa application, please complete
this form and email it back to admissions@rca.ac.uk. Please also attach scans of the identification page of
your passport; your latest degree certificate; your IELTs certificate (if applicable) and receipt for any
deposit / fee paid. In the subject heading of your email please write“CAS Request: [Programme Name];
[Family Name]; Student ID”. Please ensure that all details are consistent with your passport.

Previous Study in the UK

Please give details of all periods of study in the UK including dates, level of course (NQF level if
known) and type of visa used to enter. Please attach a copy of each visa you used to enter the UK for
each course and a copy of each certificate.
You should be aware that there are limits to the amount of time you can spend in the UK on a Tier 4
visa which is why we need this information. At present, there is a 5 year cap if you have previously
taken a 3-year BA degree in the UK and a 6 year cap if you have previously taken a 4 year BA. You
must give details of any course you attended, even if it was not completed, as this will still count
towards the cap.

Finances
You should be aware that as part of your visa application you will need to show that you have enough
funds in your bank account to cover the full tuition fees and living costs for nine months. You will
need to prove that the money has been in your account for at least 28 consecutive days before you
apply. If this is problematic you can pay your fees in advance and we can add this information to the
CAS.
