South Korean company Samsung is the biggest-selling TV brand in the world. It produces LED
TVs. In 2009 Samsung sold around thirty one million flat panel TVs, which meant Samsung had
the world’s largest market share for a fourth consecutive year. The first full HD 3D LED TV by
Samsung was launched in the month of March in the year 2010. This TV was also presented in
the International Consumer Electronics show of 2010 with was held in the state of Las Vegas. In
year 2010 Samsung managed to get a record sale of 3D televisions ("Samsung Electronics
America", 2016). Within the first six months after its launch, Samsung sold more than one
million TVs, even though market researchers forecasted that over the next six months period
Samsung would achieve approximate sales of 1.28 million television sets. Samsung was the first
multi-national organization to produce a 3D home theater TV, which enables the consumer to
enjoy both 3D image and surround sound together. After the launch of Samsung 3D home theater
Samsung became the first and only organization in the industry to have a full line of 3D
products, including 3D televisions, 3D glasses, 3D content and 3D blue-ray player. The internet
TV of Samsung was introduced to the market in 2007 ("Samsung Electronics America", 2016).
The SUHD, 4K UHD LED TV allows the users to use the internet while watch the TV, which
would provide a highly technical interface to users as compared to the other brands available in
the market. Later in 2008, it was upgraded to a smart LED TV, which did not only provide an
experience of watching TV, but also allow surfing on the internet along with a built-in support
for a number of applications. In 2010, this TV was further upgraded and apart from being a smart
TV it also showed 3D image. Samsung nowadays is still the number one television selling brand
due to its strong customer base in the market because it offers certain new and innovative
features in its products. Samsung also provides its LED parts to other companies, which is used
to produce their own TVs. Samsung Smart TV has the features of enhanced video content. It also
offers various services which include customized TV, watching movie on demand, access to
YouTube, Netflix and Amazon. Samsung Smart TV can be controlled through human gestures
and voice command. Samsung Smart TV has a camera through which the gestures are sensed. It
also has facial recognition ability which helps in authenticating the user’s social accounts on
Samsung Smart TV. Samsung Smart TV has a feature through which user can set a personal
fitness schedule. The user can also save all his/her physical information like weight, height,
complexion and date of birth. The Smart TV is designed in such a way that a user can easily find
and have access to video programming and other content. Samsung Smart TV services are very
beneficial for the user as it provide access to Educational videos. It also offers cartoon and other
entertaining content for the children. The Samsung Smart TV has internal memory and therefore
user can save songs, movies, images and documentaries. These files can be easily accessed at
any time without any interruption. Samsung Smart TV also offers after sales services.
Because of the innovative features and advance technology, Samsung Smart TVs are sold most
in the electronics industry. Currently, Samsung is the leading TVs seller in the market because it
has introduced diverse models, keeping in mind its target users. Different people have different
purchasing parity. Samsung has also introduced TVs for people with low income which suit
according to their standard of living. The increasing trend in sales shows that customers are
satisfied from Samsung products. High quality pictures, attractive designs and handy smart
features are the kinds of innovation that make Samsung different from other market competitors.
Samsung is committed to excellence and this is the reason that Samsung is the market leader in
electronic products.
