Yellow Mountain 黄山

Yellow Mountain 黄山, known as ‘the

loveliest mountain of China’, was acclaimed
through art and literature during a good part
of Chinese history. It Is renowned for its
magnificent natural scenery which includes
massive granitic boulders and ancient pine
trees which are often further enhanced by
cloud and mist effects. This dramatic
landscape includes formations of natural
stone pillars, grotesquely-shaped rocks, waterfalls, caves, lakes and hot springs, formed by its
complex geological history.

Where is it located?
It is located in southern Anhui province in eastern China.

How to get there from Shanghai?

 Train:
o High-speed Train G1509, departs at 08:42 and arrives at 13:15 from Shanghai
Hongqiao Railway Station (上海虹桥站) to Huangshan North Railway Station (黄山
北站);
o High-speed Train G1519, departs at 18:07 and arrives at 22:15 from Shanghai
Hongqiao Railway Station to Huangshan North Railway Station;
o Standard Train K8418 is an overnight train，it departs at 20:16 and arrives at 07:11
next day morning from Shanghai Railway Station (上海站) to Huangshan Railway
Station(黄山站).
 Long-Distance Bus:
o There are 5 buses from Shanghai South Long-distance Passenger Center (Website:
http://www.ctnz.net/) to Mt. Huangshan Scenery Area and there is one bus from
Shanghai Long-distance Passenger Center to Huangshan City. It takes about 5.5
hours by bus and the bus fare is about CNY135-150 per person per way. The bus
schedule is as blow. The buses from Shanghai South Long-distance Passenger Center
are at 06:37.07:57, 09:07, 10:27, 14:39
The bus from Shanghai Long-distance Passenger Center is at 18:40.

Best suitable age for camping in Huangshan?

Most preferably ages 10 above are suitable when camping at Huangshan.

Route: Greeting Guest Pine - Bright Summit - West Sea Grand Route: Greeting Guest Pine - Bright Summit - West
Canyon / Length: about 10km/7 hrs. Sea Grand Canyon; Length: about 9km/4 hrs.
