Position Available: IM/IT Support Technician
Location: Belleville, Ontario
Language: English
Hourly rate: $29.08
Tenure: 4 months to start, with possibility of extension: Start date is asap.
37.5 hours per week. Full-time.

Minimum qualifications:

 Must be 18 years of age or older and eligible to work in Canada


 Successful completion of secondary school (diploma/GED) or an acceptable combination of
education, training and experience
 Knowledge of computer technologies (ESDC has a Microsoft Windows environment)
 Experience using Microsoft Office products – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
 The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

The ideal candidate will bring the following:

 Initiative, leadership, judgment, and attention to detail


 The ability to work independently and as part of a team
 Prior experience in configuring and/or fixing problems with laptop and desktop computers
 Ability to prioritize work and to follow instructions

About the job

Innovation, Information and Technology Branch (IITB) is responsible for Information Management (IM)
and Information Technology (IT) service delivery in ESDC across Canada. IITB is committed to building
an engaged and motivated Indigenous workforce. Your role will be to help IITB deliver IM and IT services
to employees – this means you will be involved in supporting desktop and laptop computers by getting
them ready for use and helping to fix them when they stop working. You will be part of a dynamic and
national team that values each of its members. Training and support will be provided to ensure that you
have every possible chance to be successful in your role.
