LIST OF EFFECTIVE REVISIONS

PART NUMBER DATE CHAPTERS AFFECTED

90-590024-187 December, 2011 Original Issue

A
Basic publications are assigned a part number which appears on the title page with the date of the issue. Subsequent revisions are identified by the addition of a
revision code after the part number. A1 after a part number denotes the first revision to the basic publication, A2 the second, etc. Occasionally, it is necessary to
completely reissue and reprint a publication for the purpose of obsoleting a previous issue and outstanding revisions thereto. As these replacement reissues are made,
the code will also change to the next successive letter of the alphabet at each reissue. For example, B for the first reissue, C for the second, etc.

When ordering a manual, give the basic number, and the reissue code when applicable, if a complete up-to-date publication is desired. Should only revision pages
be required, give the basic number and revision code for the particular set of revision pages you desire.

INTRODUCTION Dec/11
KING AIR 90 SERIES AIRWORTHINESS LIMITATIONS MANUAL

WARNING: Use only parts obtained from sources approved by Hawker Beechcraft Corporation,
in connection with the maintenance and repair of Hawker Beechcraft Corporation
airplanes.
Genuine Hawker Beechcraft Corporation parts are produced and inspected under
rigorous procedures to insure airworthiness and suitability for use in Hawker
Beechcraft Corporation airplane applications. Parts purchased from sources other
than those approved by Hawker Beechcraft Corporation, even though outwardly
identical in appearance, may not have the required tests and inspections performed,
may be different in fabrication techniques and materials, and may be dangerous
when installed in an airplane.
Salvaged airplane parts, reworked parts obtained from sources not approved by the
Hawker Beechcraft Corporation or parts, components or structural assemblies, the
service history of which is unknown or cannot be authenticated, may have been
subjected to unacceptable stresses or temperatures or have other hidden damage,
not discernible through routine visual or usual nondestructive testing techniques.
This may render the part, component or structural assembly, even though originally
manufactured by the Hawker Beechcraft Corporation, unsuitable and unsafe for
airplane use.
Hawker Beechcraft Corporation expressly disclaims any responsibility for
malfunctions, failures, damage or injury caused by use of parts not approved by the
Hawker Beechcraft Corporation.
Any maintenance requiring the disconnection and reconnection of flight control
cables, plumbing, electrical connectors or wiring requires identification of each side
of the component being disconnected to facilitate correct reassembly. At or prior to
disassembly, components should be color coded, tagged or properly identified in a
way that it will be obvious how to correctly reconnect the components. After
reconnection of any component, remove all identification tags. Check all associated
systems for correct function prior to returning the airplane to service.

B. Correspondence
If a question should arise concerning the care of your airplane, it is important to include the airplane
serial number in any correspondence. The serial number appears on the model designation placard.
Refer to Chapter 11 of the King Air 90 Series Maintenance Manual, P/N 101-590012-13 for placard
location.

C. Publications Change Request (PCR)

If an irregularity or missing information is noted, the user of this manual may access a PCR form at
http://www.pubs.hawkerbeechcraft.com. Instructions on how to submit a PCR are included on the
web page.

1. AIRWORTHINESS LIMITATIONS STATEMENT

The following airworthiness limitations related to life of the airplane and its components have been
established with respect to the King Air 90 Series airplane.
Refer to LIMITATIONS in the Pilots Operating Handbook and the FAA Approved Airplane Flight Manual for
more information regarding the airplane’s flight limitations.
For structural inspections, relating to the King Air 90 Series airplane, refer to Chapter 5, 53 of the King Air 90
Series Maintenance Manual, P/N 90-590012-13B or subsequent and/or Structural Inspection and Repair
Manual, P/N 98-39006C or subsequent.
There are no additional Airworthiness Limitations as defined in 14 CFR 23, Appendix G, G23.4 that result
from the installation of the PT6A-135A engine installation into the Model C90GT or the Rockwell Collins
Proline 21 Avionics System into the Model C90GTi. The Airworthiness Limitations section is FAA approved
and specifies maintenance required under 14 CFR 43.16 and Section 91.403 of the Federal Aviation
Regulations unless an alternative program has been FAA Approved.

2. CONTROL OF LIFE-LIMITED PARTS

WARNING: If the life status of a part cannot be determined or the life-limit of a part has been reached,
the part shall be considered to be beyond its safe life and must be disposed of in
accordance with 14 CFR Part 43.
14 CFR Part 43.1(c) requires all persons who remove life-limited parts from airplanes safely control these
parts. Most life-limited parts can be controlled by using a record keeping system based on the serial numbers
of each part (14 CFR Part 43.10(c)(1)). Life-limited parts which have been predetermined to be impractical for
marking with a serial number have been identified and annotated by an asterisk (*), which references a
footnote, next to the life-limited part.
Where a serial number has not been assigned to a life-limited part, one of the following methods such as
tagging or permanent marking can be used (14 CFR Part 43.10(c)(2)(3)(4)(5)(6)(7)). Hawker Beechcraft
Corporation offers the following guidance for adhering to this rule.

A. Assessing Status of Life-Limited Parts

The following guidelines may be used to assess the life status of an airplane part.

(1) Original part:

(a) For determining compliance with calendar-time life limitations, the beginning of the part life
shall be the date of issuance of the original airplane airworthiness certificate.

(b) For determining compliance with usage related life limitations, the total airplane hours,
landings, or cycles shall be considered appropriate.

Page 601
04-00-00 Dec/11
KING AIR 90 SERIES AIRWORTHINESS LIMITATIONS MANUAL

(2) Replacement part:

(a) For determining compliance with calendar-time life limitations, consider the calendar time
since the logbook verified installation date plus any prior usage of the replacement part.

(b) For determining compliance with usage related life limitations, consider the airplane hours,
landings, or cycles as appropriate, accrued since the logbook verified part installation plus
any prior usage of the replacement part.

B. Identification and Tracking of Life-Limited Parts

For parts removed from an airplane the following are suggested methods of tracking life status and
complying with 14 CFR Part 43, (This is not an exhaustive list).
• The part may be marked with permanent marker.
• A tag may be attached to the part.
• A record keeping procedure may be established for the part.
The following data may be used to track the life status of a part (This is not an exhaustive list).
• Airplane serial number.
• Part number.
• Part name.
• Part serial number.
• Date part was installed/removed.
• Part flight hours/landings/cycles.

required before the end of its published replacement life limitation, then it should be bagged and
identified with accumulated hours/cycles and records should be maintained to ensure compliance with
the life limitation.
NOTE: The preceding flight hour limits are based on a majority of the flights being above 10,000 feet.
Should the flight or mission profile of a particular airplane call for a majority of the flights to be
below 10,000 feet, such as Air Taxi, Commuter Air Service, Pipeline Surveillance, Search and
Rescue or Navigation Aids Inspection, the above figures are not appropriate. In such instances
or for further information, contact the Customer Support Department of Hawker Beechcraft
Corporation.
