Introduction

VISIT TO THE UPSCPCR (CHILD COMMISSION)

 To learn the power, jurisdiction, and mandates of the commission as

provided under Commission for Protection of Child Rights Act, 2005.

THE COMMISSIONS FOR PROTECTION OF CHILD RIGHTS ACT,

2005.
An Act to provide for the constitution of a National Commission and
State Commissions for Protection of Child Rights and Children's Courts
for providing speedy trial of offences against children or of violation of
child rights and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

 To find out the pendency of cases in the commission along with the
nature of complaints.
Found out at the commission that no pending cases were present there.

 Research work on assigned topics by the commission.

Introduction

Aim: To learn and study about the shelter homes by referring juvenile justice act 2015

Process: Did a research work about the pre –requirements of shelter homes by referring
juvenile justice act 2015 and the draft uttar Pradesh juvenile justice act 2018.

Observation: observed various requirements for the establishment of the shelter homes.

Learning Outcomes: learned what are the basic needs of the shelter homes and the basic
requirements of the shelter homes.

Future Work: will visit shelter homes to observe whether they lack any requirement which
shall be provided by the shelter homes.

and children.

decision given by the judges.

Aim: Read the POCSO Act, 2012 in detail.

Process: Did a research work by reading the POCSO Act.

Observation: observed :

1. The means by which these offences can be committed.

2. The process of rehabilitation of the victim.
3. The compensation scheme, etc.

Learning Outcomes: learned about the committee made for the welfare of the victim,
learned to know about the POCSO Act.
Future Work: will visit and observe whether the victims been getting their rights or not, and
the place the victim got rehabilited whether they are facing any issues or not.
