Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Aisah Taufik Hidayat Abdullah, 21 years old, a student from Universiti Sains Malaysia
(USM). Currently, I’m a 4th year student (1st semester) enrolled in the Geophysics program. The
purpose of my letter is to seek an internship position at your company. I am available for internship
from 18th February until 21st June 2019.

During my studies, I was involved in many data acquisition projects such as Geophysical-labs and
Geophysical Field Camp 2017 in Slim River, Perak. I was introduced on how to use seismic, gravity,
magnetic and remote sensing method to predict the properties and types of subsurface of the earth.
Furthermore, I also learned how to acquire, process and interpret different geophysical dataset. During
the Geophysics Field Camp, the main objective of the project was to explore the potential for
geothermal energy in Slim River, Perak.

My Third Year Project is to study the effect of reclamation land on water clarity in Tanjung Tokong
(Penang) using Remote Sensing. During my research project, I have experienced using ArcGIS and
Envi software. At some point I would like to strengthen my understanding of remote sensing and
expand my knowledge on the application of GIS in different field especially the use of ArcGIS
software.

If given the opportunity to work as an intern in your company, I hope to learn and develop a skills
technically, also to gain some valuable knowledge during the internship so that I could sharpen my
skills and gain valuable working experience. I hope that I could contribute positively to your company.
