Tahaluf Al Emarat is a software solutions provider based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Since inception,

Through its partnership with Tahaluf Al Emarat Technical Solutions, the Ministry of Interior (MOI)
has worked on the development of the e-services system that allows typing centers, companies
and individuals (citizens, residents and GCC nationals) to apply for residency and naturalization
services with ease and in less than 10 minutes without the need to physically visit different visa
centers in the country.

Step-by-Step Guide: " Smart Services "

About This Guide


This guide provides step-by-step instructions for typing centers, establishments, and individ-
uals on how to access and use the smart services.
The Smart Services system has been initiated under the slogan ‘Smart Services with Future
Vision’ and will “guarantee speed and accuracy” in the visa and residence permit issuing
process. It will also eliminate the need for applicants to visit service centers in person.
The Ministry has partnered with Tahaluf Al Emarat Technical Solutions to develop the
system, which enables companies and individuals, including UAE and GCC nationals and
residents, to easily apply for nationality and residency services online through the following
link address (https://smartservices.ica.gov.ae ) from anywhere and at any time.
You can use the steps that is described in this guide to register and sign in to the Smart
Services and explore all its features and functionalities.

Prerequisites and Requirements


To access Smart services, the following prerequisites and requirements
should be available:

• An internet connection and internet access device (Desktop, laptop, tablet)


• A valid email ID Address
• Identification papers, vary according to the user type (e.g. UAE ID, Passport,
Company PRO Card)
• Access to Smart services (https://smartservices.ica.gov.ae)

Smart Services, is a web-based application that is accessed through


(https://smartservices.ica.gov.ae ) that requires only a web browser with an
internet connation to access and use the services through your device.
Up on access the Smart Services website, the home page screen will be
displayed as shown in figure 1 below.

Through the home page Users will have access to the following services:

The Smart Services application is delivered with a demonstration


videos and Links that includes user manuals to support you in using
and understanding the Smart Services.

simple, intuitive way of work flow with the smart services.

Section 1: Register / Sign in to smart services

Register with smart services application, by accessing your default browser


as follows:

01 Enter the URL https://smartservices.ica.gov.ae for accessing the


application, and then select from the Smart Services where you
want to register up. The services Registration Button appears.

02 Click the Registration Button to start the registration process.

03 New page appears with a registration field a valid email ID

04 Press on the continue button to complete the registration. An email with a


confirmation message will appear.

Smart Services application will validate your email ID, an email will be sent to
your registered account with activation link to complete the registration
process.

06 Click on Complete Registration to continue with registration process. The


system will redirect the User to the following page:

By pressing Yes, the application starts the registration process, the user
enters the UAE identity card number in the custom field as shown in the
figure below:

08 Enter ID number and press Next, it will be possible to register by providing a


mobile number or by providing personal information.

A message will be sent to your mobile number with an (one-time password)
OTP, follow the steps to complete the registration form.

10 A Green confirmation message will appear at the top right of the


screen, informing you with the successful completion of your registra-
tion process. A confirmation email also will be delivered to your inbox.

If the e-mail provided in the registration is invalid, you will not receive the activation link
to continue with the registration process. You must make sure that you have access to
the provided email during the registration process to be able to activate the registration
request.

Signing In to smart services Application

This step begins by entering the URL https://smartservices.ica.gov.ae


01 to access the Services website, and then select the bookmark for the
Smart Service where you want to login. The Sign In page appears.

02 Enter your registered email ID and password.

03 Press the Enter keys or click the Login button to sign in.

The Smart Services application validates your user ID and password.


If either the user ID or password is invalid, the application displays an
error message below the Sign In button. You must re-enter your user
ID and password or submit support request through the Contact us
tab on the main menu.

Forgotten smart services Sign in Password

Access Smart Services Home page (from Home, select Smart Services login type).

01 Under the Login & Password input fields click “Forgot Password?”

02 In the forgotten password page Enter your smart services registered Email ID.

03 Click Send to receive the email verification and password reset link to your
email address.

Click the email verification and password reset link received in email
address and follow the steps.

In the user name field enter the user email address, same email will
be used to log on later.

Make sure to verify the email entered before you confirm the creation
of the new user account.

Section 2: Working with Smart Services

This section provides an overview of how to submit a request through Smart


Services control panel. For guidance purposes the following shows how to
use the Control Panel to Submit a New Services Requests, Paying Fees,
and Search Submitted Requests.

Using smart services Control Panel

The Smart Services applications Control Panel page contains a navigation


grids of tasks-driven pages that offer intuitive access to pages needed to
initiate your smart services requests.
These navigation grids incorporate icons to make it even easier for the user
to select the needed smart services. On the upper corner of the right side,
users can control their e-wallet available balance in Dirhams.

Users can access the control panel services by double click the service
icon inside the panel. Types of services provided by control panel as follow:

01 Number of Sponsored: Shows the total number of sponsored people


submitted by the user.

02 Visa requests: Shows the total number of visa requests submitted by


the user.

03 Residency requests: Shows the total number of residency requests


submitted by the user.

04 Active visas: Shows the visa about to expire and expired visas submit-
ted by the user.

05 Active residency: Shows the residency about to expire and expired


residency submitted by the user.

06 Entry and Exit: Shows the entry and exit from and to country of the
sponsors.

07 Financial transactions: The total number of financial transactions


regarding the Visa and residency requests submitted by the user.

Number of ready to pay draft: Shows the total number of ready to
pay requests submitted by the user.

In the right corner of the control panel users can check the Available
Balance, and Number of the Black Points.

Using Smart Services

Logged in users can use Smart Services to initiate new applications and submit
new requests.
Through the smart services drop-down navigation menus, you can move
through menu items to choose from Abu Dhabi Naturalization and Residency
Administration, Abu Dhabi Residency sponsor and to start service action.

The visa and residency services search feature facilitate faster service
delivery

Step 1 | ubmitting new requests

01 To submit a new service request through the smart services, you need to
select the Service and Click Start Services button.

This is a very important step, users MUST make sure that all the requested data are
valid, and it has been entered correctly in the services request form.

Step 2 | Applicant Info

After filling the first step information correctly, User will be moved to the
second step of the services request to add the applicant information of the
sponsored.

Step 3 | Attachments Info

After filling the third step information correctly, User will be moved to the fourth
step of the services request to upload a list of required attachments as follows:

01 Abu dhabi municipality


02 Health authority of Abu dhabi
03 Emirates identity authority
04 Department of economic development of Abu dhabi
05 Abu dhabi police
06 Abu dhabi water and electricity authority.
07 Ministry of health
08 Copy of trade license (investor)

01 To upload the attachments, Click the select File and then choose
the attachment files to be uploaded.

02 After uploading all the required attachments files, click the next
button to start with the third step of the services request.

Step 4 | Review application

In the third step, you can control and review your services request before submis-
sion and fees paying.

If you need to return to the previous step to edit or modify any of the filled

information or the uploaded attachments, click the Back Button.

After you make sure that all the required information and attachments are

correct, click the Next Button to start with the fourth step of the services

Step 5 | pplication fees

The fourth step, is the last step where the User will pay the application fees
before the final submission.

Fees might vary depending on the request, to speed the application


service process, you can select Urgent Service Fees option.

This section provides you with steps needed to view and search all the
financial transactions related to your e-Channel’s applications and requests.

To access your Financial Transactions

01 Click payments from the main menu

Enter Request number, Service type, Receipt number, Bank reference


02 number, Start date, End Date, payment method, Account name

03 Click Search button to display all your financial transaction.

Financial transactions search results

The search results for financial transactions shows the transaction number, receipt
number, and bank reference number the amount paid and the date of payment,
payment method, account name, and payment status/ batch status.

In addition to displaying data, the user can choose the details button to view
the details of each transaction as shown in the following figure.
