I. Objectives

At the end of the lesson, the students are able to:


1. Identify the elements of visual performance in Chinese Peking Opera.
2. Visualize the Staging and costumes used in Chinese Peking Opera.
3. Understand that the colors used in masks or makeup has different
meaning.
4. Appreciate the principles of movement in traditional Chinese Peking
Opera.

 Group activity
Divide yourselves into groups of five to eight members. Each group will
make a tableau of different scenarios usually see in your surroundings.
Other students will guess what scenarios were presented in the tableau.

2. Analysis
After each presentation, each group will give grade to the performers using the
format given.

4. Application
Picture Interpretation: Analyze each picture and state the difference in terms of
costumes, stage, and props.

5. Closure

Overall characterization of each actors and actresses in a play is important including


costumes, music, stage decoration and the use of props make the presentation alive
and easy to understand.

6. Assignment

 Bring mask on Monday for project making activity.
