The above‐mentioned “Selected” candidates  are required to report to MTI, Sagargyan Building , Powai  
at 0930 hrs on 06.05.2019  for STCW medical examination.Upon failing to report latest by due date 
06.05.2019 at 1530 hrs, seats will be passed to next waitlisted candidates. 
You are requested to follow the instruction as mentioned below: 
1.  Medical Examination charges around INR 1700.00  will be borne by the candidates and medically fit 
candidates are allowed to stay in our MTI hostel from 06.05.2019  
2. Candidates shall bring all valid original certificates as mentioned in the advertisement with one set 
of self attested photocopy. 
3. Candidates shall bring police verification certificate from loal police station. 
4. Candidates will have to make their own arrangement for lodging/ boarding/ transportation etc prior 
admission in MTI. 
5. Being a residental course, selected candidates shall bring baggage including personal effects for 
eight months . Selected candidates shall arrange  at least one white shirt, one black trouser, a pair of 
black shoe , civil dresses   necessary during shore training. 
 6. Selected candidates shall pay a Demand draft of Rs. 1,00,000/‐ (Rupees One Lakh Only) for male 
candidates and Rs. 85,000/‐ (Rupees Eighty Five Thousand only) for female candidates after medical 
fitness at MTI, Powai, Mumbai. The selected candidates shall make the Demand Draft in favour of 
"THE SHIPPING CORPORATION OF INDIA LTD." payable at Mumbai. The balance training course fees 
shall be paid at MTI within two months. 
7. SCI reserves the  right towards final selection / rejection of the candidates for GME course at any 
stage during the training and/or selection procedure.  
8. Provisional selection of GME course candidates subject to pending verification of valid   
caste certificate and educational qualification
