REGULATIONS FOR THE

CONDUCT OF MR. & MS.

GOODWILL 2020
IRR 8.0 PRIMER

IRR 8.1 Mock Interview

IRR 8.1.1 The mock interview shall be likewise an

application interview to ace the position of

being the Mr. and Ms. Ambassador of

Goodwill for the year.

IRR 8.1.2 The mock interview shall be conducted

before the convention.

IRR 8.1.3 The candidates shall wear white plain shirt

and any black bottom.

IRR 9.0 PRELIMINARY EXPOSURES

IRR 9.1 Theme Wear and Grand Production Number

(THEME WEAR)

IRR 9.1.1 This year’s overall theme for the convention

is “VINDEMIA: The Erstwhile Reimagined”.

Thus, this competition shall be in line with

such theme;
IRR 9.1.2 The candidates shall provide their own

costumes that must be in line with the

theme;

IRR 9.1.3 Accessories are allowed, provided that

sharp/any harmful objects are to be

prohibited;

IRR 9.1.4 The props and/or costumes must not be

very bulky and revealing; and,

IRR 9.1.5 Candidates shall be judged according to

the criteria below:

RELEVANCE TO THE THEME (AUTHENTICITY) 30%

CREATIVITY AND WEARABILITY 25%

GESTURE (Poise and bearing, elegance, mastery of

choreography) 30%

STAGE PRESENCE 15%

IRR 9.2 Casual Wear Competition

IRR 9.2.1 Male candidates can wear any kind of

classic fashion way back 50’s to 80’s, paired

with leather shoes or loafers, and any kind

of accessories such as fedora hat or flat cap,

watches, necklace and shades.

IRR 9.2.3 Female candidates can wear any kind of

classic fashion way back 50’s to 80’s, paired

with 6 inches nude stiletto and accessories

such as earrings, bangles, watches and

necklaces.

IRR 9.2.4 Candidates that violate any of the rules

shall be judged but his/her scores shall not

be included in the vying for the minor

award of this exposure; and,

IRR 9.2.5 The candidates shall be judged according

to the criteria below:

STAGE PRESENCE (Authority and Dignity) 20%

IRR 9.3 Formal Wear and Long Gown Competition

IRR 9.3.1 Male: BLUE Barong Tagalog (Chinese collar

is prohibited), long black socks and leather

shoes.

IRR 9.3.2 Female: BLUE Balintawak Filipiniana Gown

(Flowing cut) with shade of black and gold,

and nude stilettos.

IRR 9.4 Preliminary Interview (Fast Talk)

IRR 9.4.1 Candidates shall pick a random paper

containing set of questions and answers;

every candidates must choose an answer

and state a brief justification.

IRR 9.4.2 Candidates will be given 5 seconds to

compose their thoughts and 30 seconds to

state their answers.

IRR 9.4.3 The timing for the 30 seconds will

commence once the candidate utter a

word or the 5 seconds allowance will lapsed,


whichever comes first. The bell shall ring

once to signal that the 5 seconds has

passed. The bell shall ring twice to signal the

end of the 30 seconds. The microphone will

be turned off after the bell rings.

IRR 9.4.4 Candidates shall be given 0.5-point

deduction from the total average score of

the Fast Talk Round for every 5 seconds in

excess of the tome allowed.

IRR 9.4.5 Candidates are highly encouraged to

answer using English language.

IRR 9.4.6 The criteria is as follows:

Wit and Intelligence (Content, Formulation and

Organization) 50%

Delivery and Confidence(Diction, Spontaneity, Style) 35%

Personality and Charm 15%

Total 100%
IRR 10.0 EPITOME OF BENEVOLENCE

IRR 10.1 Candidates from the same region must

spearhead one Outreach Program

together with their Local Chapter Council.

IRR 10.2 Candidates shall submit a video

documentation of the Outreach Program.

The video documentation should highlight

the impact of the Outreach Program to the

chosen beneficiary.

IRR 10.3 Video documentation must be at least 2

minutes but not more than 4 minutes. A 0.25-

point deduction shall be given from the

total average score of the Epitome of

Benevolence for every 10 seconds in excess

of the time allowed.

IRR 10.4 Documentation shall be submitted in a

Flash drive in mp4 format only.

IRR 10.5 Epitome of Benevolence Award shall be

given to the candidates coming from the


same region who garnered the highest

score from the panel of judges.

IRR 10.6 Criteria for judging:

Substance (Significance of the Deed) 45%

Impact of the Project (Demographic Contribution) 30%

Video Documentation and Presentation 15%

Effort (Initiative in Organizing the Activity) 10%

Total 100%

IRR 11.0 FINAL 5 AND SELECTION OF THE WINNERS

IRR 11.1 The scores of the different preliminary

exposures and epitome of benevolence will

be the basis for the final five.


Criteria for the computation and selection of the final five:

Theme Wear/Production Number 20%

Evening Wear 20%

Epitome of Benevolence 20%

Preliminary Interview 20%

Total 100%

IRR 11.2 Final five shall be given a common

questions (for male and female) shall be

given an allowance of 10 seconds to

compose his/her thought and 45 seconds to

answer. Time will commence once the

candidate utter a word or the 10 seconds

allowance will lapsed, whichever comes

first.

IRR 11.3 The bell shall ring once to signal that the 10

seconds left. The bell shall ring twice to

signal the end of the 45 seconds. The

microphone will be turned off after the bell

rings.
IRR 11.4 Questions shall be given using English

language and candidates are highly

encouraged to answer using English

language.

IRR 11.5 The scores of the final interview shall be the

basis of the Major Awards. Hence, scores

from the preliminary exposures shall be

disregarded;

IRR 11.6 They shall be judge according to the criteria

below:

Beauty 30%

Intelligence and Delivery 70%

Total 100%
IRR 12.0 SPECIAL AWARDS

IRR 12.1 Mr. and Ms. Photogenic and Mr. and Ms.

Popular

A photo shoot will be conducted prior to

the said event (schedule will be impose

soon). The candidate shall wear their

assigned color. These pictures will be the

basis for the awards.

IRR 12.2 Mr. and Ms. Congeniality

The selection of this award is through secret

voting among the candidates before the

pageant night;

IRR 12.3 Sponsor’s Awards

Some sponsors (if any) of the event may

want to extend their generosity through

special awards to some candidates. Thus,

this award is left solely on the discretion of

the sponsor.
