First week of December 2019 when I went to the Law office to apply for OJT, I felt a
bit of nervous but I continue to go inside. I ask question like if they were accepting trainees
and I didn’t know that the one that I’m talking to is an Attorney. I get the information I need
and his contact numberand he ask me when will I start? I said I need the approval first of our
It was the 9th of December 2019 when I started my On-the-Job Training at Galolo and
Bulacan. My work office is not too big but not too small, just exact for the people working
there. It is a Public Notary Office. The office composed of 2 Attorneys, 1 secretary and 2
Assistants. It is air conditioned room like a studio type one.Atty. Gil I. Galolo and Atty. John
Paul S. Allon are the Managerial Partner/Owners of this Law Office. They are kind and
generous to us OJT’s.
In my first day of training, I found out that my 2 classmates was also trainees in this
office(Vern Aquino and Rachel Amper). At first, the secretary which is Mr. Amante Gambon
askedme to file the documents of Atty. Galolo. The documents consist of the following:
Court Order, Petitions etc. I finished it immediately and after that I observed him on what
he’s doing as the secretary ofthe law office. Most of the people’s request is Affidavit of Loss;
loss of ID, passport, license, documents, etc. At first I only watch Mr. Amante on how to do
it and listening to the instruction of Atty. Galolo, I’ve learned how to do it by myself. There
were days that Mr. Amante is absent, so Me and Rachel assigned to do his work by the
assistance of Atty. Galolo. At first I was nervous because we were the one who will interview
Days passed by, I’ve continue learning new things. From filing to doing affidavits,
Sometimes, we were asked to go to LBC to send letters, BDO for payments and
CebuanaLhuillier for the bills. It is good to do the things you’re not used to it.
It was January 2020, after the long Christmas break it’s time to go back to normal
days of being an OJT. A bit sad but at the same time happy because I know new learningis
coming. Atty. Gil Galolo asked us trainees to observe if there were clients so we can have
an inspiration to be more serious and focused in life,I say so because of what I have
experienced while I’m in the Law Office. Life there is very serious, I will not wonder
because obviously it’s a Legal Office. But training with Atty. Galolo and Atty. Allon was a
good experience.I’ve learned a lot about the things happening in a Law Office, the
environment it has and what are the documents that the clients need. I was encouraged to do
more efforts like waking up early which is not my routine, spend almost my whole day in the
office, giveextra efforts for the clients to give their needs and also to satisfy them. But I did
not regret any of that because I’m happy of what I am doing.I do that for me to learn and gain

Atty. Gil I. Galolo served as my trainor in the office. I can describe him as a strict but
a good one. He always say that he want us to learn. And I appreciated that, so I’m always
doing my best to learn all of his instructions every time he teaches me something. He
My overall learningis that patience is so much needed when your job is related to
customer service. I know that already but this time I understand why. People are hard to
please and not all of them will give back to your kindness and service.
I also learned how to notarized documents, and to do legal documents such as affidavits,
acknowledgements, contract of lease, deed of sale, demand letter and (SPA’s)special power
of attorney.
