PERFORMANCE TASK 3

“Nature, Nurture or Both”

To give us more background on choosing what’s more influential, First, I will state the meaning
of Nature and Nurture with Nature referring to all the genes and hereditary factors that
influence who we are from our physical appearance to our personality characteristics. While
Nurture refers to all the environmental variables that impact who we are, including our early
childhood experiences, how we were raised, our social relationships, and our surrounding
culture. With that in mind, it’s time to decide who is more influential.

Describing myself, my nature and nurture that defined me as a person is a mixture of both, A
good environment can overcome bad genes, and the variations of that statement are equally
true. Because they're intrinsically intertwined. The environment modifies genetic expression
through experiences. Nature dictates the limits, and nurture defines where you fall within the
boundaries. My nurture being raised in my neighborhood and family really affected my growth
to became the man that I am today, yet I still inherit the nature of my parents and other family
members so I would say the effect of the genes I have on my behavior is expressed through my
inherited traits: intelligence, personality, and other things.
