Greetings!

The protection of the livestock and poultry industries against the treat of domestic and foreign
communicable diseases in the province of South Cotabato is one of the vital regulatory functions of
Provincial Veterinary Office. According to Article XIX of Local Government Code, Section 489, S. 1991,
we are mandated to “regulate and inspect poultry, milk and dairy products for public consumption” and be
in the frontline service in case of outbreak of highly-contagious and deadly animal diseases. In order to
prevent these harmful diseases to enter our vicinity, for food safety of our people as well as for
comprehensive local animal disease control, we will be establishing the Veterinary Quarantine services and
post in the boundary of Polomolok and General Santos City this semester of 2018.

In line with our implementation, we will be conducting the 2nd Provincial Veterinary Quarantine
Stakeholders Meeting on July 31, 2018, 8:00 in the morning at Fred Anns Dine and Resto, City of
Koronadal, South Cotabato. We would like to invite you or your representative on the said meeting to
