How to Create a Responsibility for Order Management with Access

Only to the Mexico Operating Units

1 Create a new responsibility:

Navigation: System Administrator  Security Responsibility  Define

 Use an existing ‘Order Management’ responsibility to copy the settings

 Give the responsibility a name that is meaningful for the access ‘OXO CDMX Order Management
Clerk’

2 Create a new Security Profile and assign the Mexico Operating Units to It:

Navigation: Global HR Manager  Security  Profile

 Give it a name that represent the restriction ‘OXO MX’ indicates the profile has only Mexico
operating units in it. This security profile can be used in any responsibility to limit access to
Mexico operating units
 This process is called MOAC (Multiple Operations Access Control)
 Run the ‘Security List Maintenance’ program to activate the new security list
o Navigation: View  Requests  Submit New Request  Single Request
o Type in the request name: Security List Maintenance
o Enter the parameters:
 Generate Lists For: One Named Security Profile
 Security Profile: OXO MX
 Leave all other parameter blank

3 Attach the Security Profile to the responsibility created in step 1 to the responsibility. Also assign
other System Profiles:

Navigation: System Administrator  Profile  System

 Type the responsibility name in the ‘Responsibility’ field

 Type ‘HR: Security Profile’ in the Profile field
 Click on the ‘Find’ button
 Click on the 3 dots (…) in the ‘Responsibility’ field to select the MX security profile
 Click on the save button
 Click on the flashlight icon to go back to the search window
 Assign MOAC Profiles:
o Type ‘MO:%’
o Select (In the responsibility column):
 MO: Default Operating Unit
  MO: Operating Unit
 MO: Security Profile  This is the security profile created in step 2
o Click on the ‘Save’ icon
 Assign GL Profiles:
o Type ‘GL:%’
o Select (In the responsibility column):
 GL Ledger Name
 GL: Data Access Set
o Click on the ‘Save’ button
 Setup the User Type Profile:
o HR:User Type  HR User

ALL DONE: The responsibility has been configured to access only Mexico operating units.
