At this time, the news about Indonesia’s presidential election is booming in

2019. Not only Indonesian media that publish the articles about it, but also
international. Moreover after the General Election Commission (KPU) stated that
the pair Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Ma’ruf Amin were the winners of the 2019
presidential election. International media were also busy reporting the results of
the presidential election in Indonesia.

One of issues that discuss in this article tell about how the challenger
campaign team, Prabowo Subianto, complained of fraud, but independent analysts
said the vote was free and fair. Prabowo and his campaign team claimed
widespread cheating but An election supervisory agency dismissed claims of
systematic cheating because of a lack of evidence and independent observers and
analysts have said the poll was free and fair.

National police have tightened security to anticipate potential attack. Police

have also prevented people from across Indonesia travelling to Jakarta en masse to
join protests but prabowo said the situation could trigger “people power” protests,
while the government and police have urged protesters to keep the peace and
vowed action against anyone stirring unrest. Police had detained about 30
suspected militants with ties to Jemaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD), Indonesia’s
largest group linked to Islamic State.
