Core Subject Title: Media and Information Literacy

I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of this lesson, you will be able to:

At the end of the period, the students are expected to:

 Knowledge: explain digital citizenship, netiquette, and digital footprints


(PIS-SHS);
 Skills: enumerate opportunities and challenges in media and
information (MIL12LESI-IIIg-23); and
Attitude: value the importance of netiquette and having a positive
digital footprint. (PIS-SHS)

A. Content Standards

The learners demonstrate an understanding of the legal, ethical, and societal


issues in the use of media and information.

B. Performance Standards

The learner organizes a creative and interactive symposium for the


community focusing on being a media and information literate individual.

C. Learning Competencies/ Objectives


Write the LC code for each

 Identify opportunities and challenges in media and information in the


economic, educational, social, and political dimensions;
 realize opportunities and challenges in media and information
(MIL11/12OCP-IIIh-24);
 create infographics showing opportunities and challenges in media and
information;
 discuss and evaluate how media and information affect change; and
 research and cite recent examples of the power of media and information
to affect change (MIL11/12OCP-IIIh-25).

 At the end of the lesson, the learners Identify opportunities and challenges

dimensions;
 create infographics showing opportunities and challenges in media and
