SCHEDULE AND MILESTONE REPORT

(Student Name)

(Institution)

From the last Bi-weekly report, I am part of the Computer Science Major team handling both

hardware and software within the Cav team. The following are the primary objectives and goals

for the CAV system team. The first is to come up with a detailed analysis of the stock vehicle

ACC operation. The second objective for our team is to test the added sensors on the stock

vehicle, come up with the first analysis of linear autonomous, especially for energy use as well as

safety. Another objective is to display the baseline vehicle to X ability to utilize DSRC hardware.

The aim helps to evaluate if one could get feedback on the necessary safety. More goals for the

CAV Systems include applying stimulated or recorded data and determine the way CAVs

algorithms do differentiate between vehicles and rightly allocate lanes. Following these

objectives and goals, what are the tasks and milestones throughout the semester?

Some of the milestones for this semester include the following; Delivery of GM Blazer together

with the constituents by 31st August 2019. In this first milestone, CAV team got the GM Blazer

as well as the GM power cube. I have wrapped up the testing associated with baseline by 1st

November 2019, which saw the disassembling of the stock vehicle. Finalized the structuring of

the subsystem by 22nd November 2019, marking the end of the first vehicle design phase. The

point also saw a complete update of propulsion vehicle model. More milestones include

finalizing vehicle integration by 21st February 2020. In this milestone, the team shall ensure

completion of the mounting of the transition sensors as well as computer hardware from benches.

I am ensuring that the vehicle passes the S/T inspection by 21st March 2020, which coincides

with the vehicle examination pre-competition phase. Lastly, ensure accomplishment of the initial
milestones and that the vehicle runs as anticipated. The last milestone shall ensure that the car

achieves a continuous drive of around 50 miles. Apart from the milestones, what are the

deliverables and tasks associated with my team?

Some of the deliverables include the operation plan, the executive plan, baseline check,

subsystem design report, CAV system safety checks, CAVs perception system evaluation, CAV

sensor functionality check, among many more. Some of the tasks in the CAV sensor

functionality check are the team showing that they had prepared well the Blazers for them to

assemble data necessary for Baseline Vehicle inspection. In the same deliverable, the CAV shall

ensure it gives these two products; first, the sensor integration video as well as the sensor data

files that are logged. What are the other tasks for our team?

Some of the tasks for our team included adding up several pins required to the car sensor, for

instance, Pin5, Pin16 battery 12v, Pin4 together with so many others. The other task that follows

is placing the bumper as well as extra connectors to the vehicle. The team began working on

mobile eye installation, which involved downloading portable eye setup together with acquiring

all necessities for the camera as well as the car. The team worked within harmony and looked

forward to the upcoming tasks and milestones.

We look forward to working in togetherness, aiding each other and, above all, ensuring that we

achieve the objectives of the team, the semester and course.
