Alged: Yes, Ma. Pero kinakabahan pa rin po ako kasi it's a new semester and I'm not sure if I'll do good.
Allan: Okay lang 'yan, anak. Grades do not define who you are nor does it predict your success. Ang
mahalaga, you did your best and learn from your mistakes.
Sachi: Tama and Papa mo, anak. Don't pressure yourself, we'll always be proud of you no matter what.
Alged: Thank you po! The best talaga kayo..
*the three of them hugs*
Allan: Oh siya, kumain na tayo. You need energy for school.

Scene 2
Thea: ANONG KLASENG GRADES 'TO HA? *throws paper at Juliet* PURO BARKADA NALANG BA
INAATUPAG MO!?!
Juliet: 'DI MO NAIINTINDIHAN KASI PALAGI KA WALA SA BAHAY!
Thea: MARUNONG KA NANG SUMAGOT HA. PARA NAMAN SAYO 'TONG GINAGAWA KO. SINO BANG
NAGPAPAARAL SA'YO? NAGPAPAKAIN? 'DIBA AKO LANG??
Juliet: Ayan! Ganyan! Kaya tayo iniwan ni Papa eh!
Thea: Aba... Wala kang hiya at respeto! *slaps Juliet*

Scene 3
Juliet: Girls, bladder break!
Jelai: Sige sis, we'll wait for you here.
*Juliet goes to the restroom*
MRT: Girl, did you hear about the rumor?
Jelai: Which one? Is it really a rumor o gawa-gawa mo nanaman? *Jelai chuckles*
MRT: Of course it's true. You think I'm a liar? i'M a LiAr???
Jelai: So, go on then...
MRT: I heard that Juliet hasn't visited the dentist for TEN whole months now. Try mo lumapit, sis.
Maaamoy mo, ang baho!!!
Jelai: Maybe she has halitosis already. *MRT and Jelai laugh hysterically*
*Alged walks past them and overheard their conversation*
Alged: Alam niyo, isara niyo nalang ang mga bunganga niyo. Maybe that's your own breath that you
smell, not Juliet's. I thought you were friends.
Jelai: Ano bang pakialam mo? Are you even friends with her?
You know mga baba, my parents told me that you should never spread rumors about somebody.
Remember the Golden Rule?
*Juliet comes back from the restroom*
Juliet: Hey, what're you guys talking about?
Alged: You know what Juliet? You should start choosing your friends wisely.
Scene 4
Therese: Good morning, class! Please, settle down and arrange yourselves. Congratulations for passing
the first sem and welcome to the second sem!
*students clapping*
Therese: Since this is our first time meeting one another, I think it's time for a little intros but... with a
twist! You'll be introducing yourselves with your talents!
*students get excited*
Therese: Okay, who's willing to go first?
*students point at each other*
Therese: Hmm. Let's start with Ms. Ramos.
Jelai: Omg!
*Jelai goes infront*
Jelai: Good morning, Ma'am and classmates! I'm Jerimaine Louise Ramos and my talent is dancing. 1, 2,
and 1, 2, 3...
*cue music*
Therese: Thank you very much, Ms. Ramos for that wonderful and exotic dance number! Next
volunteer?
*Mikee nervously walks in front and presents her artwork*
Mikee: Good morning, everyone. I'm Mikee Jhea Salomon and my talent is...
Therese: Wow. Thank you Ms. Salomon for that beautiful artwork! I think it's time for a snack break. Be
back in 5 mins!
*after the break, the class starts with Juliet, Juliet sings*
Juliet: Hi guys, I'm Sheila Marie Juliet Yap!
Therese: What a soulful presentation. You should sing in competitions Ms. Yap!
*Alged walks in front with posture proud yet humble; smiling and starts to present her work*
Therese: Thank you so much, Ms. Soria. I see that you have you and Jhea have the same taste in art.
Okay… next!
*MRT walks to the front like a boyish mean girl; starts to rap*
*MRT rapping and her friends rejoiced and hyped MRT until the end of her presentation*
Therese: Wow!! Thank you everyone for introducing yourselves and showcasing your talents!

Voiceover: The understanding of one’s own talents, capabilities and a belief in one’s ability to improve
are some ways of expressing oneself and creating a positive self-concept. In the humanistic approach,
learning concentrates upon the development of the student’s self-concept. Showcasing talents and
doing other enjoyable activities can be an appropriate teaching strategy as it encourages active student
participation and aids in self-discovery. Maslow’s hierarchy of need is also a major contributor to
humanistic theory, wherein the basic-level needs such as food, water, and excretion must be met before
the students can be concerned with learning. This is the reason why bladder and snack breaks or taking
snacks in between discussions are essential to facilitate learning.
Therese: Even when you have certain differences, I hope you guys, as a class, will get along well!
*bell rings*

*both are silent and pretend that they didn’t hear what Juliet said*

Scene 6
Therese: Good morning, mga baba. You did very well last meeting when you introduced yourselves using
your talents. Now, we will discover more about your talents and skills by making an advocacy and
presentation that promotes environmental awareness. You can choose your own way to present your
advocacy and presentation. I will give you 30 minutes to prepare. Goodluck, I have faith in you mga
baba!
Therese: Thank you, Jelai. For our next presenter, who will show us the beauty and magnificence of
nature by capturing these delicate scenes using her camera lens. Let us have Ms. Mikee Jhea Salomon. A
round of applause guys!
Mikee: A photograph is really powerful because it can be interpreted in many ways. That is why I chose
this as a medium for our advocacy campaign. Capturing realities and letting people know what is
happening in our surroundings. I took this picture to open the eyes of the people who will be reached by
this photo.
Therese: Mikee, that’s a unique gift and skill. You can surely become a successful photographer
someday. For our next performer, let us hear our nightingale, Sheila Marie Juliet Yap as she sings a song
about the environment. A round of applause for Juliet.
*Juliet sings*
Therese: Next we have Alged Corrine Soria to show us her vivid and captivating artworks about
environmental care.
Alged: Being born in this generation, I was able to witness the beauty of our environment. Also, in this
age, we witnesses of how destructive our ways towards nature can be. As I take a glimpse of what the
future brings, the reality that the incoming generations might not experience the greatness of nature
saddens me. Being gifted with the hand in art, I wanted to use it as an avenue to show the kind of
environment I am a promoter of.
Therese: Thank you, Alged! For our next and last presenter, we have Mary Rose Trajada to give us a
heartfelt poem.
Therese: Thank you, Mary Rose! That poem was wonderful. I say you might become a poet someday.
Voiceover: By using the humanistic learning approach, the teacher places a great deal of emphasis on
the student’s choice and control on how they will present their works. With this, the students will know
and appreciate diversity. They will know everyone is unique and each one has different learning styles.
Voiceover: Humanistic education tends to focus on the felt concerns and interests of the students. It is
also believed that self-evaluation is more superior to grade. Grading encourages students to work for a
grade and not for intrinsic satisfaction.
Voiceover: Humanistic education disagrees with routine testing because they teach students route
memorization as opposed to meaningful learning.
Therese: With the environmental situation nowadays, it is important that we spread awareness. I hope
that this activity was able to help you think of other ways to educate people other than giving flyers or
pamphlets and providing a seminar. Before I dismiss all of you, I want to hear what you’ve learned, your
comments and other suggestions for our next activities. Anyone?
Alged: I think an activity like this is helpful not only to the people that we will present these advocacies
to but also to us who conceptualized. We were able to showcase our talents and that’s what made our
presentation easier and more fun.
MRT: I had fun doing this activity because writing poems on thing that I love doing and with that I was
able to express myself sincerely and I think people will feel my intentions.
Jelai: Just like them, I enjoyed this activity and I hope that we will have more activities like this.
Therese: Expect that we will be having engaging activities throughout our discussion, Jelai. How about
the others? Juliet?
Juliet: *a bit gloomy* Sorry ma’am but I honestly feel like I messed up in this activity. I was really
confused if what I was doing is right or if I would get a high grade if I perform this or that. I didn’t know
what to practice because I didn’t want to disappoint my mother and get scolded again.
*Therese nods*
*FREEZE*
Scene 7
MRT: Salot na nga, iyakin pa. Yucks. Kung ako nanay mo pinamigay na kita.
Therese: WHAT ARE YOU GIRLS DOING TO MS. YAP?! INTO THE OFFICE!
Therese: NOW!
Ally: Good morning, Ms. Reganit and girls. I’m going to ask you what happened, alright?
Juliet: They were assaulting me and speaking badly about me, Miss.
Jelai and MRT: NO, WE DIDN’T! ANO BA YAN JULIET NAPAKASINUNGALING MO!
Jelai: *shocked and crying* Ma’am, please don’t call my dad. I admit that I did bully Juliet but I’m
regretting it now.
MRT: My mom, too ma’am. Please don’t tell her I got in trouble in school. We won’t do it again. Please
give us another chance.
Ally: Okay, Ms. Reganit. I’ll take it from here. We’ll give you your last chance but you’ll still be doing
community service as compensation and you have to sincerely apologize to Ms. Yap.
Juliet: Ma’am, I’m sorry but it wasn’t their fault that I cried. They were bullying me because I was already
crying.
Juliet: I knew long before that they didn’t like me but I was seeking for validation from people around
me because it was something I couldn’t get from my own mother.
Ally: Juliet’s mom, please come in. *looks at Juliet* Sa tingin ko, mas makikinig siya sa’yo ngayon. I’ll
give you two some privacy.
Thea: ………………………………..

Scene 8
*Alged and Mikee playing cards in the classroom, Juliet hesitates to join*
Juliet: Hmmm, okay but I don’t know how to play that eh.
*the three of them play happily while MRT and Jelai enter the room*
Narrator: MRT and Jelai realized that they have not been good friends to Juliet. They accepted their
mistakes and apologized to Juliet.
Narrator: Academics and relationships are all going well for Juliet. She started gaining back her
confidence with the help and support of her friends and her mom.
Narrator: Professor Therese’s classroom became a haven of self-improvement, freedom of choice and
continuous growth with their own styles of expression.
Charo (Extro): Nagmamahal, Juliet…
