I and my team mates were given the task to observe at the ongoing upgrading of access road for this
afternoon's duty.

Upon arriving at the place, we saw men working in the concreting of the road. Concreting of road is not
an easy one though it may seem easy by just seeing it. Just as known, it entails a lot of step by step
process. Likewise it covers the preparation of subgrade/sub-base, placing of formwork, transporting and
laying of the mix, compaction, screeding and finishing of the surface.

As such, preparation of cement mix for concrete is way easier by means of the transit mixer. It is used in
the transport of concrete or ready mix material directly to the place where it is to be utilized. Also, it is
loaded with dry material and water with proper estimated ratio.

Fresh concrete has thickness of 6 in

and width of 2.5 m. Moreover, we saw a vibrator used by the workers in concreting to which it helps
eleminate the bubbles from the fresh concrete and separate the aggregates as well.
