I. INTRODUCTION
What’s the reason why female gas students wear make up? What do they feel? As a
female gas student what’s the purpose of wearing make-up? What are the negative impacts of
wearing make-up? How may it help you regarding on self-esteem? How often they use and
consume make up products? How much do they spend money on consuming make ups? Is there
are times that they bought fake products that cause irritation? How did they manage their time
upon watching and applying make-up tutorials? Does make up advertisement influence you on
deciding what to buy?
The purpose of this study is to know what’s the impact of make-up product on self-
esteem of female General Academic Strand (GAS) students. The researches want to know what’s
the importance of conducting this study. Make up is one of the best ways to express themselves.
They said that it boosts their confidence and it makes them feel beautiful every time. Giving time
on applying make up sometimes affect the time that they can give to studying. Sometimes
wearing make up should base on the situation that is happening, because of wearing make-up
people easily gives judgement to people. The reason why researchers conduct this study is to
know the effect of make up to female students. Females are making their ways to make
themselves beautiful and one of the ways that they can do is to wear a make-up. Females have
different reasons why they wear make-up. Sometimes to cover their imperfections, for them not
to be shy when they face random people. There are times that people around you influence on
what should make up product you can buy. Advertisers make it appears these products will fix
the flaws of the persons appearance and that by using beauty products the consumer will be as
attractive as the person featured in the advertisement. Advertisers target is to make woman be
beautiful and confident on their own. Aside from having sales of advertisers they want to stop
discrimination to those women who have natural beauty and imperfections. Females comparing
themselves to others are giving them insecurities having a reason for them to wear make-up.
