Welcome to Wyrmwood….

This is a hidden village deep within a forest be-spelled with ancient magic. Some of the
darkest and cruellest minds reside there… because even villains don’t work forever. And
when they retire, they tend to settle in Wyrmwood.

When their diabolical plans are eventually stopped by pesky do-gooders, they need a
place to put up their feet and retire. With the glory days behind them, they are free to
take part in disorganised activities, set up their homes in their own evil images and
reminisce about the bad old days.

They tell stories of how they were going to take over the world, but in truth, none of
them ever really stood a chance… except one.

Welcome to Wyrmwood

Boyle Wolfbane
This man with a humble home and fearsome gargoyle statue doesn’t belong in such a
place. His failure at conquering the world was through no fault of his own but rather, a
string of very bad luck. These days, petty theft and minor scams are the only things that
keep him going.

The Raven Lord

The Raven Lord thinks of himself as one of the birds that he has trained to do his bidding.
His very first attempt at an evil deed was foiled. It turns out birds aren’t capable of that
much. However, he doesn’t take up much room and he’s good for a laugh, so the residence
of Wyrmwood let him in anyways.

Sid Riddle
Sid Riddle has a high IQ and was infamous for stopping heroes from passing on in their
quests until they figured out a riddle. Now that he’s retired, solving little mysteries in
Wyrmwood is his main means of entertainment. He’s not too bad.

The Witch Sisters

The sisters are powerful transfiguration witches who can turn people into whatever
comical animals they fancy at the time. While they don’t go out of their way to curse
people, anyone, even villains, keep their distance.

Ingrid
Ingrid, on the other hand, is a witch in the same way that a broken pencil is a weapon. You
keep pulling her out only to remember that she’s very unlikely to do much besides
embarrass you. Completely insufferable and – oh, great, she’s coming on the quest.

Aveyond 4 Page 1
Party Members

Boyle Wolfbane
Boyle was destined to rule the world. Or so he thought. Forced
into retirement, he moved to Wyrmwood where he could
commiserate with other failed villains. He’s better than the
rest of them, but they understand what he is going through.
It’s not a horrible end, but not the one for which he hoped.

Ingrid
Ingrid is a powerful witch. Or she could have been if her spells
didn’t backfire half of the time. She resides in Wyrmwood where
no one gives her a bad time …except for Boyle Wolfbane who will
eventually pay for his behaviour. She put a curse on him to marry
her, and as soon as they wed, she plans to turn his life upside down.

Myst
Myst is a mist wraith who resides in the Myst Mountains. She has
a big heart, but enjoys playing pranks … especially on her friends.
Like many mist wraiths, Myst can transform. Her preferred
transformation is a white fox. Myst knows little about humans
except that they like to destroy things. When she discovered
they are a bit more mysterious, she decides to learn more.

Aveyond 4 Page 2
Robin
Robin had a dream to become paladin. It didn’t quite work out,
so now he’s a stable boy. Every once in a while he likes to
pretend, though, and if anyone mistakes him for what he is not,
oh well. Robin likes to dream big, even if his destiny is to pick up
manure. Maybe things will change, but first he needs to
complete a list of chores a mile long.

Hi’beru
Hi’beru comes from a civilized land far, far away. He’s come to this
corner of Aia to study the barbaric culture of local inhabitants (but
he won’t tell them that). Hi’beru has a special gift. He can read
dreams and people. And he likes to heal. Which is a big help to his
friends who continually find themselves in harm’s way.

Rowen
Rowen likes to create things. Unfortunately, a not-s0-nice
fortune teller noticed, too. He cursed her to do his bidding, and
now Rowen is stuck in Tor. Rowen helps the fortune teller con
innocent civilians. She often sees the great ocean ships pull into
the port of Tor and dreams of boarding one to go back home.

Phye
Phye is a Draaghar. He is not happy. A demon has enslaved his
people. He wants to free his people, but he also wants revenge.
Phye has learned how to create a special blade. When he is
finished, the demons had better run. This blade is hungry and it
will eat them. Merrily.

Part 1: Out of Retirement

Hide From Ingrid

Ingrid is after you and that means you’ve either done something wrong or you’re about to
be made to do something. Run away from her and take Fang with you.

If you go south and then east, you’ll no doubt come across the festival in the middle of
town – it’s almost bloodmoon season.

Bloodmoon Festival
The season of the Bloodmoon is coming
and there’s a party in Wyrmwood!
When the moon shines red, there’s more
evil in the air. Spells, alliances, and
schemes all have a greater chance of
working out well for the wicked.

Go to the Bloodmoon Festival

Talk to the guy next to the apple-bobbing barrel. After he stops yammering, talk to him
again to take part in apple bobbing for some prize tickets. Boyle detests these sorts of
events, but one of the prizes is a gargoyle statue that Boyle has wanted for a very long
time. Unfortunately, it will cost him 30 tickets to obtain it.

You’ll need to find 30 tickets total so Boyle can purchase his gargoyle statue.

Tip After speaking with Sid Riddle you can smash pumpkins! Inside you
can find all manner of prizes, maybe even pumpkin innards!

Aveyond 4 Page 5
Collect Bloodmoon Tickets

# Ticket Location

1 Speak to the girl standing at the top of the stairs for an easy scam.

2 Speak to the dodgy looking guy with all barrels in front of the caravan.

Go past him to meet the powerful witch sisters. Walk behind their house to
3
find a couple of tickets and a set of stairs that lead you to Sid riddle.
Head back to the main area and down the stairs, into the house. Speak to
4
Elzabeth – you’ll need her later. Then head down further.
Speak to Ophelia in front of the pumpkin pit and then walk past her toward
5
the broody house there.
Head back up the stairs and to the top to help Elzabeth by rounding up the
critters and then take all of her tickets. To round them, walk behind them
6
and herd them down the stairs like sheep. Critters are wary of people so
they’ll move down to get away from you.
After you have your quest from Sid Riddle, smash pumpkins. Some of them
7
will have tickets inside of them.

Once you have 30 tickets collected, make your way to the prize table to claim that
gargoyle! What happens next will come as a shocking surprise, but you’ll end up in the Mir
Woods.

Aveyond 4 Page 6
Go to the Mir Woods
Unfortunately, Ingrid finds Boyle and sends him on an errand in Mir Woods. He must obtain
wood from four mir trees.

Once you land in Mir Woods, head right to find the first mir tree. Deal with it to collect
mir and then head down until you come across a wizard chasing a cheeky magic sprite.

Follow the sprite along the path until you catch up to it and Chester the wizard. The wizard
gives you a new power: Flames I.

You can now walk around the whole map previously blocked by spider webs. You’ll find
three more mir trees in the corners of the woods.

When you have four pieces of mir wood, return to Wyrmwood where everyone in town is
now waiting.

When you get to town, you discover it’s covered in mist. A silver fox appears and Fang
chases it up Mist Mountain.

Next, you’ll need to head up to Mist Mountain to find Fang.

Aveyond 4 Page 7
Part 2: Into the Mist

Go to Mist Mountain
Go to Mist Mountain and follow the mist fox until you meet a mist wraith who tells you to
follow her. Follow along the high mist path with the help of the fox and manipulate the
path until you get to the Mist Queen. The queen commands you to find her son in return
for Fang. After speaking to her, return to Wyrmwood.

Mist Realm
The creatures on Mist Mountain require
the mist to survive. Few have left the mist
realm in many hundreds of years. Nobody
knows much about them and many
assume bad things.

In Wyrmwood, the villagers decide that someone needs to go to Aveyond to ask the
Oracle for guidance. No one is happy about this and Boyle is selected to go by himself on
the quest. When Boyle leaves, he is joined by his first minion, a rat named Colby, and
Myst, the mist wraith who helped him in the Mist Mountains.

Go to Windy Hills
Leave Wrymwood and head to Windy Hills. In Windy Hills, follow the path until you
become trapped and Myst must look for a way to get Boyle across the bridge. As Myst,
go down a ladder to find a switch. After pressing the switch, a goblin accosts Boyle. As
Boyle, fight the goblin. Myst will join the battle on the second turn, making him easier to
defeat.

After the battle, head east over the bridge and climb the ladder. Look at the platform. It
requires two rocks to move.

Aveyond 4 Page 8
You need to find two rocks to move the platform. Go through the nearby cave to trap the
ogre on the other side and take the bridge to the left that he was blocking.

Go through the cave until you find the stone at the end.

The second stone is down the ladder (the one at the beginning that Myst wouldn’t go
down without Boyle). Go through the cave and then follow the path to the chest.

Aveyond 4 Page 9
When you have the two heavy stones, make your way back to the bridge and place them
in the holders. Step on the platform. It carries you down to the bottom of the hill. Once
you get to the bottom, head right. A troll is blocking your path.

As Myst, sneak around the mountain and drop a cage on the troll. Then head across the
bridge to the left and climb the tall ladder to drop it down for Boyle.

With Boyle back in the party, head down the mountain. Keep following the ladders
down, then go left at the bottom until you find an empty cage.

Aveyond 4 Page 10
Find a Present
Boyle throws Myst up to a ledge with a cave. As Myst, go through the cave to retrieve
the item at the end. When you find yourself all locked up, retrieve the keys, let Gimble
out, and then leave the cave yourself.

When Myst returns to Boyle, Boyle traps her in a cage so he can continue his journey
without her. Once Boyle has gotten Myst out of the way and you’re playing as him again,
make your way to Windshire by going east.

Explore Windshire
When you arrive in Windshire, you’ll find a not so welcoming villager informing you of the
great Windshire prison.

Windshire
Windshire is a small, conservative and
very superstitious farming town known
predominantly for its mutton production.
They have a low crime rate which may
have more to do with their extreme
methods of punishment than their values.

Explore around the town and stock up on armor and supplies while you can to make the
following area more pleasant. You can also find Chester’s Cave if you head north toward
the windmill. Chester will allow Boyle to upgrade his skills in exchange for captured
Cheekis.

Aveyond 4 Page 11
When you’re ready, head right past this home to find a person standing in front of the
ferry. As usual, it’s going to be more difficult than anticipated, as the ferryman has been
captured in Briar Woods. Head back to town and leave via the south exit. On the world
map, head south to enter the Briar Woods.

Find the Ferryman

Once you get to Briar Woods, follow the path south and then west. Continue until you can
go up. Then, go north where the path splits and follow it until you get to a cave.

Aveyond 4 Page 12
Enter the cave and go up to meet the prisoners. They have been captured by the Goblin
King. Explore the rest of the cave until you come across a goblin that runs from you. Keep
following after him until he drops his keys, then head back to the prisoners.

Free the prisoners (one of them is the ferryman) and fight the Goblin King. Then, head back
to Windshire.

Thanks for nothing

You just can’t trust the citizens of Windshire, who quickly forget your good deed when
they discover you were once a villain. Luckily, an unlikely form of help arrives. You now
have the witch Ingrid in your party!

Go with Ingrid to the ferry, which is on the east side of Windshire. Take the ferry to Whisper
Woods. Now your goal is to get to Aveyond. Follow the path and collect any planks you
see as you’ll need them later. Eventually you’ll come across a sign that tells you the portal
to Aveyond is east.

Aveyond 4 Page 13
On your way through this area you’ll battle enemies with some useful items. The bandanas
you can collect will be your first helmet slot item and all of your party members can use
them.

Aveyond 4 Page 14
Part 3: Aveyond and Beyond

Find the Oracle

A villain in Aveyond! Follow the path until you come across the statue and Boyle makes a
huge mistake which you’ll need to rectify throughout the game.

Aveyond
Aveyond is a magical place that is open to
only those of pure intentions, or those
who think they have pure intentions.
Something like that, it gets a bit weird.

Continue along the path to get to the Oracle.

After your failed attempt at speaking to The Oracle and the very strange mess that follows
with Hercules, it’s time to return to the Mist Queen with news of her son. And to get Fang.
Boyle refuses to help anyone unless Fang is returned to him immediately.

Tip Remember to make a donation to the goddess statue in Aveyond

before you leave!

Aveyond 4 Page 15
Repair the Ferry
Return to the ferryman in Whisper Woods who is less than happy to see you. However, he
will help you if you help him. Bring him 2 oars, 1 figurehead, and 18 planks.

Make your way around Whisper Woods to find any wood planks you missed. To find the
pixies, head back toward the sign that directs you to Aveyond and walk past it across the
bridge instead.

After defeating the pixies for the first oar, take the path back to the water and then
continue the path going up. Keep following it to find the pixies who have the second oar.
After getting the second oar, head to the top of the Whisper Woods and you’ll find a
suitable figurehead nestled in the trees.

Once you have everything, return to the ferryman.

Aveyond 4 Page 16

Restore the Windmill
Once you have made it back to Windshire, go north and enter the windmill. Go through
the door on the left and collect a novel page. Return to the previous room and go through
the door on the right.

Follow the path north and then east until you are blown into another room by a fan.
From there, you can only go through the door on your right.

Go through the door on your right into a new room. At the bottom of the room, collect
the novel page before going through the doorway below. Follow the path until you come
across your first green switch. Flip the switch. This turns off a fan so you can now go up
and right.

Aveyond 4 Page 18
Through the door you’ll find another page and another door to the bottom. Go this way
to flip your second switch, which will turn off both fans in the room and give you a key.

Go left into the main room. In the center of the room is a locked door. Use the key on the
door and flip another switch. Go back the way you came. Then, go left to be blown right
into another switch. The fan above you will continue to operate so you’ll need to go back
up and right.

Aveyond 4 Page 19
Go left past the unlocked cage. Collect the novel page, then go in the door on the left.
Flip the switch to unlock the bottom of the room. Return to the main room, go past the
cage, and continue to the door on the right. Now you are back in the room with the two
fans.

The first fan has stopped. Go past it and flip the switch to stop the second one. Go
through the door on your right.

Talk to the ghost and learn what happened to the windmill. Fight the ghost and turn on
the windmill. When you are finished, go back to town.

Aveyond 4 Page 20
Need some help finding the 5 novel pages? This map will help.

Tip If you eradicate all the ghosts for Shandy, you can pop back into the
windmill afterwards and he will be in there, with a second reward.

Aveyond 4 Page 21
Return to Mist Mountains
Leave Windshire and go towards the Windy Hills. Once you’ve made it back to the world
map, you’ll see that you can now travel through the mist realm to move quickly around the
world. Go into the mist pocket and follow the path until you find another mist cloud that
can take you near Wyrmwood. Then, go to Mist Mountain. Myst goes to talk to her mother
alone, while Boyle and Ingrid wait at the base of the mountain for her to return.

Save Boyle from Fangder

After Myst leaves, a giant spider named Fangder captures Boyle. When she returns,
Ingrid tells her what has happened, and the two of them work together to save Boyle.

Aveyond 4 Page 22
Head back to the world map and go left to find Fangder’s cave. Unfortunately, it’s pitch
black and you can’t see anything. Ingrid has a solution, but she needs to make a potion.
Head back to Ingrid’s house in Wyrmwood to make a neon potion.

You’ll get a sneak peek inside Ingrid’s house and your first glimpse at potion-making.
Unfortunately, the secret ingredient is missing, but can be found in Boyle’s house, which
is naturally locked. To figure out how to get into Boyle’s house, speak to the Raven Lord.

Aveyond 4 Page 23
Tip The potion kit from the Windshire misc items shop allows you to
cancel your potion and create a new one.

Return to Boyle’s house and take the key from the gargoyle’s eye. Enter his house and find
the Goopy Goo running around his floor. Then, go back to Ingrid’s place and add it to your
potion.

Aveyond 4 Page 24
Before you can complete the potion, you need soda ash. Find Laguna Le Rouge in
Wyrmwood and purchase it from his collection of goods. Return to Ingrid’s house and
complete the potion.

You can now return to Fangder’s Cave. Make your way along the paths and watch out for
spiders until you find Fangder and Boyle.

Fight Fangder and return Boyle to your party. Myst tells Boyle that the Mist Queen lost
track of the whereabouts of Fang, but that the wolf was last seen heading towards Tor.

Burn webs to get to other areas of the cave you missed.

Once you’re near the entrance there is another web with the pumpkin key. You can take
this key to Sid Riddle in Wyrmwood to begin his series of riddles.

Buy Boyle a Gargoyle

Boyle is not as appreciative as Ingrid anticipated and has reprioritised the mission. When
you get back to Wyrmwood, head over the where the bloodmoon party was and talk to
the dodgy barrel guy. Select the gargoyle and earn an attraction point with Boyle and
Ingrid.

Now with that important business taken care of, it’s time to head to Tor. You can get there
through the Briar Woods.

Aveyond 4 Page 25
Destroy the Scarecrows
Return to Briar Woods. This time, the Raven Lord appears as you enter the woods. He will
have his birds remove briars that block the path to Tor if you destroy all of the scarecrows
in the woods. Explore the entire area, including previously explored areas, smashing all the
scarecrows until you have ten and then find the Raven Lord at the top right side of the
map to claim your prize. For helping him, the Raven Lord gives Boyle a new minion: Razor
the Crow.

Tip Take note of the elder oak tree at the top of the woods. Return to it
when you have an elf in the party and it will teach them something.

Go up past the Raven Lord and head west towards Tor.

Aveyond 4 Page 26

Part 4: Toward Tor

Travel to Tor
On the world map, go down to get to the Dragon Wastelands. The centipedes you’ll find
on the way to Tor have some legs to collect for a quest you can get started on now.
Follow the signs to far right side of the Dragon Wasteland.

Tor
Tor was once a dragon town but is now
known mainly for its arena battles and
famous Mystic.

Follow the path right to find Fang – but he cannot join your party. After speaking to Willis,
explore around the town. Make sure to load up on items and armor before you go into the
arena.

Aveyond 4 Page 28
The path to the arena is found at the top of the map. The guard won’t let you fight, but
you can go left to spectate. Once in the area, follow the path until you find another arena
guard with a hood on. Talk to him to compete.

After the arena battle, find the mayor’s house in the middle of the town. The mayor’s
daughter is in the room at the back of the house. Then you will need to find the shipyard.
The way to the ship is at the top right of the map. The guard won’t let you through but you
still have to try.

Pay the Mystic a visit at the bottom of the town. You may need to battle some enemies
and sell some items to pay him.

Tip Ingrid and Myst can get new gear from the magic shop in Tor, but
Boyle will have to wait until later as the blacksmith is closed.

After you have received your future from the Mystic, go stay at the inn to the left before
going back up to the guard in the morning.

Aveyond 4 Page 29
Explore the Dream Realm
During the night at the inn, Boyle falls asleep and awakes in the Dream Realm. This happens
to him occasionally over the years. The enemies in the dream realm give very high
experience so you might want to fight all of them. You can recover your health with
floating dream crystals found in the dream realm. Walk along the floating platforms until
you get to a cave in a wall. Inside the cave you will see an old friend.

Dream Realm
The Dream Realm is a place of
subconsciousness that all living things go to
when they sleep. You cannot be physically
harmed or killed in the dream realm but it
has certain effects on the mind and mental
health of a person, especially if you have
night terrors like Boyle.

Scuttle Beach
The next morning, the party wakes up in Tor. Heads to the ship yard and hop aboard a ship
headed to the Shadow Isles. Unfortunately, Boyle says something insulting and he and his
friends are tossed overboard into the ocean, mid-trip.

You wash up on Scuttle Beach. Follow the path to find Willem who asks you to find the
quarter maps. The map pieces are scattered around the corners of the island. It’s only a
small area but watch out for crabs! Return to Willem with the four maps for a prize before
taking the path to the right to Boppity Woods.

Aveyond 4 Page 30
Follow the path though Boppity Woods to end up back on the world map. There is a large
forest at the bottom of the map which you will explore soon, so you can safely skip it for
now. On the world map, enter the castle just below the woods you’ve emerged from.

Aveyond 4 Page 31
Part 5: Royal Trouble

Explore Halaina
When you arrive in Halaina, you’ll be greeted and given a quest to explore the city. You’ll
have access to the whole place, so you can take some time to visit all of the shops, find
Chester’s cave, collect hidden Cheekis and get familiar with your surroundings. When
you’re ready, head north to find a guard blocking the entrance to the castle.

Halaina
Halaina is one of the largest towns in the
game. It has a huge range of stores and
people. It’s also home to the rich king and
the Night Watch.

Find a Gift for the King

Speak to the guards around town to discover what the king wants. The guard in the market
area will finally reveal that the king likes the frames sold nearby, but would never buy
himself one. The frame salesman is at the north-western side of the market. Purchase a
frame from him and go back to the castle.

Go inside and speak to the king in the main room, go through the door on the left, then
go left up the stairs where you’ll see a jester. Go through the next door and you’ll be on
the upper level. Take the door on the right to meet the king’s sick daughter. You will then
be sent to the Boppity Woods to find a witch.

Tip Watch out for Cheekis hiding in house and shop windows. You can
collect them from the outside of the house.

Aveyond 4 Page 32
Find a Witch
Follow the path down until you find a sneaky pathway through the trees to get to the
witch. The dirt path will lead you to the witch’s house.

After speaking to the witch, collect ingredients for a blabbermouth potion. The recipe can
be purchased from the misc items store in town, and you will also need a mineral man
which can be purchased from Crete Street (the back alley with suspicious vendors in
town).

The secret ingredient is hot spice, which you will need to collect in Silverspring Wetlands,
once piece at a time. Find the five pieces, and they will form into a hot spice.

Once you have all of the ingredients, use Ingrid’s broomstick from the items menu and you
will be taken back to her house, where you can create the potion. When you leave Ingrid’s
house, you will return to where you left off.

After cursing Grunhilda and learning more than you may have wanted to know about
Boyle, you’ll need to head to the world map and go down to the swamp.

Follow the path until you find a frog with a crown. After Ingrid turns him back into a person,
he reveals that he still wishes to live as a frog and won’t go back. Oh well, time to find a
new paladin. Return to the king and ask him where you can get one.

Aveyond 4 Page 33
Save the Princess

To find a paladin, go down to the crusade grounds on the world map. There, follow the
path to the right and continue along until you stumble across … a paladin!

After you have your paladin, return to the king in Halaina once more. After the scene plays
out you’ll be on the move again. Leave the town and head to Gingernut forest.

Travel east to the village and find a forthright. He will lead you to a cave. Make your way
around the ladders, finding the keys, until you get to the real spirit, which you must fight.

Once the spirit is defeated, head back to the princess’s room in the castle. After curing her
and witnessing an awkward moment, speak to the king on his throne.

Next, head back to the crusade grounds to attempt to sign up for the paladin crusade.
Boyle will wait outside, for the paladins’ safety.

Aveyond 4 Page 34
Recruit Paladins
Speak to Elizabeth just inside the grounds. She will send you to find Dale who will be just
to the left of the entrance. He will challenge you to a fight, then send you to fight three
additional paladins around the crusade grounds. After fighting all three, return to
Elizabeth.

You’ll need to return to the castle to fine more paladins. Speak to the king and you’ll soon
be playing as Myst the fox. The papers will be in the left room in front of the king and to
the left again. Click the book on the desk.

Once again, it’s up to you to find more fighters.

Paladin 1
Go to the Gingernut forest and follow the path
into the small town to find a man with orange
hair standing by a house. Speak to him to invite
him to join the crusade. Boyle challenges him to
a game of two-card flip, and loses, so you’ll
have to fulfil his request before he will talk to
you again. Bring him a round of cheese which
you can buy from the market in town. After
that, Robin will convince him to join.

Aveyond 4 Page 35
Paladin 2
The Halaina paladin can be found on the right
side of the city in front of the blacksmith.
Unfortunately, he won’t help you until he has
the right armor. Speak to the blacksmith in
the building behind him to request the armor.
The material you need for the armor can be
found in a dark cave in Gingernut Forest, north
of the town.

Paladin 3
The third paladin can be found in the
Boppity Woods. He’ll be standing by the
two-card flip tournament grounds in a
suit of armor. Speak to him to have Ingrid
convince him to join the crusade.

After all the paladins have agreed to help

you, head back to the crusade grounds
and speak to Elizabeth to go on the
crusade.

Get some Rest

After the crusade, head to the inn in Halaina and speak to the person standing at the
back to ask for a wakeup call. Then pay for a night at the inn and somebody will come in
to wake you up. It will now be night time and everybody in town will be asleep. When
you want to return to day time, go back to the inn again.

Tip The fruit vendor on the left side of town left his fruit out on the tables.
If you were to steal them, nobody would know …

Join the Night Watch

After being brought to the night watch headquarters, you’ll find their leader by going to
Gingernut Forest and going straight up. After rescuing him, you’ll be invited to join the
Night Watch at any time during the game. More information on Night Watch is in the
Night Watch section.

Aveyond 4 Page 36
Next, you’ll be sent to the library to find a book on the secret rooms in the castle. This
book can be found to the left of the books Robin is looking at.

Return to the castle. Take the door on the left of the king and you’ll notice in the hallway
there is a strange marking on the wall that looks like a door – because it is one!

Aveyond 4 Page 37
Explore the Dungeon
Go down the stairs to reach a dungeon. Walk up until you see a dark character. You will
start in room D5. The instructions below will guide you through the dungeon.

1. Go to room D4 to fight the first enemy.

2. You are now level 3.
3. Go to room E3, and walk up over the fire tile. Pick up the fire sword.
4. Go to room D2, use the fire sword on the boots and pick them up.
5. Go to room F4 and walk up to room F3 through the fire and defeat the enemies.

Part 6: Stuff of Nightmares

Save Hi’beru
Hi’beru is in a bit of a pickle and you’ll need to help him to get his help in return. He sends
you to find a man at the end of the world. The first thing you must do is return to Tor and
speak to the Mystic again to find out where the end of the world is.

Speak to the mystic. He tells you that the end of the world is in Windy Valley. On the way
out of Tor, you encounter Hercules. After a short scene, race him to Boyle’s house before
he steals something precious. Take the mist portal on the map to get there quickly.

The entrance to the Windy Valley is near the portal between the Briar Woods and Dragon
Wasteland. Go there and stand on a suspicious X on the ground. You are kidnapped and
shortly set free.

After you escape, continue through the Windy Valley and leave through the west side to
get to the End of the World. Speak to the man who lives there and complete a short errand
for him. After you help him, you discover that his family has been shrunk and he needs a
potion to fix them.

Return to Windy Valley and find the gingerbread house with Ingrid’s sister in it. She tells
you to meet her in the Dragon Wasteland.

Tip After fighting the troll in the Windy Valley cave, inspect the barrel that
had a goblin in it to start a battle with him.

Aveyond 4 Page 40
Find Lorelai in the Wasteland
When you meet Lorelai, she gives you something to trade with somebody in Tor for the
potion recipe. This mysterious person hangs out near the inn. After getting the recipe, you
discover you need Fang back to get the secret ingredient. Let’s go rescue him.

Break Fang Out

When you first arrived at Tor, the mayor gave Boyle a mission to shut down a suspicious
store. Find the store near the south west corner of town and imprison the man.

Return to the mayor. She gives you a new mission to investigate the kobold camp in the
Dragon Wasteland. Go to the camp and search the house at the bottom of the camp. Stand
on a switch to open the bone door blocking the top-most house. Go into the house and
take a dragon egg. When you come back out, a group of kobolds are summoning a bone
dragon. Fight them and return to the mayor in Tor. She tells you to kidnap her enemies to
keep her safe. In return, she will give you Fang.

Aveyond 4 Page 41
Kidnap the Mayor’s Enemies
Before you kidnap the mayor’s enemies, go back to Ingrid’s house in Wyrmwood to make
an agreeable potion. The recipe is in the kobold camp (you may have come across it while
investigating earlier). The secret ingredient of spider eyes can be found in the misc items
shop in Tor. After adding the secret ingredient, find a violin to make it less volatile. Go into
the Tor arena and pick up the one that was broken when the bridge fell down in your first
tournament.

Get enemy 1: the Prisoner

Go to the prison in Windshire. Go in the far right door to find the unguarded prison key on
the table. If you’d like to visit Boyle’s old cell, it’s on the left! The prisoner you want is in
the second left cell.

Get enemy 2: the Two-card flip player

Go in the two-card flip house at the bottom right side of town and speak to the guy in the
left room to kidnap him. Then, return to the mayor. She allows you to see Fang.

The mayor’s daughter, however, will not give up Fang so easily. The creature she wants in
exchange for Fang is the frog prince. You can find him near Ingrid’s sister in Boppity Woods
hopping around in front of her house. Go get him and bring him back to the mayor’s
daughter.

Search for Witchety Grub

Now that you have Fang back, take him to Whisper Woods and search for the witchety
grub needed in the unshrink potion.

As Fang, you can see things the humans can’t and dig in the ground. You may see purple
lights from time to time that lead you to dirt mounds. These are Fang’s senses - follow
them until one of them leads you to a whipering grub.

Aveyond 4 Page 42
Create the Resize potion
Return to Ingrid’s house and make the resize potion. Then, bring the potion to the man at
end of the world.

After he is cured, he relinquishes his tiny furniture to you. Return to Hi’beru and rescue him
from the residents of Weeville.

Weeville
The residents of Weeville may be small
but small-minded, they are not. They’re a
very progressive culture that doesn’t take
kindly to political incorrectness or quips
about their size. They also have magic to
get up ladders.

Aveyond 4 Page 43
Another Dream
Boyle takes a nap and wakes up in the dream realm. This time, Boyle has the help of Hi’beru
to battle the monsters. Battle your way to the end of the dungeon to cure Boyle of his
nightmares once and for all.

Tip Enemies in the dream realm give tremendous experience, so make

sure to fight all of them.

Aveyond 4 Page 44
Part 7: Party on Rowen

Find the hidden entrance to the elf plains

It’s time to rescue Rowen. Since you still have the resize potion you already made, you
can now shrink yourself at will to enter all of the houses in Weeville.

Purchase the tonic from the item store in Weeville and then head to Mudsludge Swamp
to find Ingrid’s other sister.

After speaking to Ingrid’s sister at the Mudsludge Swamp, go to the Divisive Thicket and
find the tear of the moon. Return to the sister to get the freedom recipe. The secret
ingredient is the tonic which can be purchased from the Weeville misc items store.

You’ve now been invited to join all three covens in the game. For more on covens, see the
Covens section.

Make the freedom potion and return to the Mystic in Tor.

You now have Rowen in your party! Take her to the Divisive Thicket. She reveals the way
to the elf plains.

Tip There are dirt mounds that Myst can dig up in fox form. Find them all
for coins, power yams, and more

Aveyond 4 Page 45
Stay the night at Delamere
Make your way through the elf plains until you get to the elf town called Delamere. Go
straight to the inn and get some sleep (well, most of you).

Delamere
The elves in Delamere don’t know much
about their ancestors, but they believe
they were wiped out due to their own
ambitions and curiosity.

Explore the land of the Elves

In the morning, explore the town and meet the people of Delamere. There are unique
items here that you cannot find elsewhere. When you’re ready, speak to Lady and meet
the less welcoming Miles.

Go to Daintree forest where you’ll come across more enemies who are stronger so
hopefully you improved your armor while in town. Explore the area for more items and
gold until you find the Rickety Biscuit.

Find an Important Book

Find the vault, a large building in the middle of the forest.

Aveyond 4 Page 46
Unfortunately, you’ll need Miles to get inside. He has left Lady’s house and is now in his
own home in the south-eastern part of Delamere. Return to the vault and use the key to
open it. Once inside, complete a series of puzzles to find the book that you need.

Tip There is a switch behind the vault, which makes a bridge appear in the
water. This is handy for completing the vault puzzle.

Aveyond 4 Page 47

25. Place the beggar, dagger and thief cards on the table.

Rowen Explores the Dream Realm

Once you reach the book, Rowen takes it to the inn to read it. During the night she wakes
up in the dream realm. Proceed forward through the dream realm and defeat the enemy
at the end.

The next morning, go back to the clearing where the boat is and sail away from
Delamere.

Aveyond 4 Page 49
Sail to the Shadow Isles
Sail down to the bottom of the world map and use the dock to enter the Shadow Isles. You
come across a familiar face and take part in an epic battle.

After the battle, head north through the Shadow Isles until you end up back on the world
map. Next, enter Skull Mountain. When you arrive, you discover you are missing
something, or someone very important.

Tip You won’t be able to enter any of the caves in the Shadow Isles until
you return with the next party member.

Aveyond 4 Page 50
Head Back to the Wasteland
Sail back to the Dragon Wasteland and go to the kobold camp to find they have
successfully summoned the dragon. Defeat the dragon to get a key which allows you to
go through the red doors in the wasteland.

Go to the southwest corner of the wasteland and open a door that takes you to the world
map near a town called Ulrock.

Aveyond 4 Page 51
Part 8: Fire with Phye

Ulrock and roll

Welcome to the town of Ulrock. Although the area is run down, you’ll find plenty of open
shops with great items to equip.

Ulrock
Ulrock accommodates many different
races. It is a haven for outcasts of society
who have nowhere else to go. This is
where you will find a lone Draghaar who
dreams of taking back his town.

Convince Phye to join you

In Ulrock, journey north until you come across the workshop of the something or someone
you were looking for.

Aveyond 4 Page 52
Inside you meet Phye, a Draaghar who can help you, but is less than willing to. As usual,
Ingrid may have a way to persuade him with a potion. You can purchase the recipe in
Ulrock, and get the secret item – a tentacle - by completing a quest for a lady in the north-
western part of town. Once you have the potion, return to Phye to get his help.

Create a sword for Phye

Before you can take Phye back to the Shadow Isles, accompany him into the Fire Depths
in Ulrock so he can complete his sword. Inside the dungeon, search for switches on the
ground. Step on them to move walls out of your path. Continue through until you get to
the second level of the dungeon.

On the second level, you come across a black anvil. Make sure you are ready for a tough
fight! After Phye uses the anvil to finish his sword, return to the Shadow Isles.

Aveyond 4 Page 53
Power Phye’s Sword
The sword is almost ready for Baal, but it still needs to be powered up a bit before Phye
can break the barrier in Ravwyn. To power it up, it needs the blood of a demon.

In the Shadow Isles, go into the demon’s cave. It’s empty. You need to summon the demon
and this requires sulphur. You need three handfuls of sulphur. The sulphur can be found in
three caves on the isles. When you have the sulphur, head back to the demon’s cave.

Go into the demon’s cave. To summon him, throw three handfuls of sulphur into the
flames. Defeat the demon. Phye can now break the barrier in Ravwyn.

Aveyond 4 Page 54
Part 9: An end to the Conflict

To Skull Mountain
With Phye’s sword powered up, return to Ravwyn where Phye can now break the barrier
and launch an attack on Baal. Defeat the enemies who are channelling the blockers to
proceed through.

Once you reach Baal, Phye defeats him with the sword and gain more power. Return to
Skull Mountain with Phye and break the barrier. Now all that’s left to do is ascend to the
top and fight whatever it is that is up there.

Tip If you’ve got a romantic partner in mind for Ingrid, make sure you have
their attraction points finished before finishing the game.

party arrives back in Halaina. Boyle decides to send Robin instead, who is accompanied by
Myst.

The first job you will be given is to find the leader, Banana Boy, in the Gingernut Forest. He
can be found in the top left corner of the forest at night. Defeat the owls who have him
captured and he will return home. Return to the nightwatch building and speak with him
to end the quest.

Increase Rank: Creeping Cat

You will now need to increase your standing with the nightwatch in order to take on
further missions. This can be achieved by collect night bugs and owl feathers in Halaina
and the surrounding woods at night. Hand them in to the men in the base to gain points
and eventually increase your rank. Your rank can be checked at any time by going into
Myst or Robin’s menus and selecting nightwatch.

quest. Your job is to investigate the werebear. Go to Gingernut Forest in the day and
speak to the people in their houses until you come across a woman who gives up
information on the werebear. Return to Banana Boy with the information to complete
the quest.

Increase Rank: Racing Rabbit

You’ll need to increase your rank to Racing Rabbit before you can accept the next task
from Banana Boy. Once you reach the rank, speak to Banana Boy, and he will send you to
the second night watch base on the far right side of Halaina. Go there and speak to
Armadeus.

Aveyond 4 Page 64
Task: Track the werebear
The first thing Armadeus will have you do is track the Werebear to help find out where he
might be hiding. To do this, you will need to find evidence of how he eats, sleeps and
entertains himself.

Entertainment – Enter the Silverspring Wetlands at night. You will need the resize potion
to get into the wetlands at night. You will come across a book. Inspect it to gain this
piece of evidence.

Eating Habits– Head into the Gingernut Forest and head north. You will come across a
bag of discarded chocolates, obviously belonging to the werebear.

Sleep – At night, on the far left side of the Boppity Woods, inspect a stack of straw with

human. Head into the Gingernut Forest at night and find an entrance to a cave that has

werebear. You will not defeat him, but you will have an interesting chat with Banana Boy
after.

Task: Hatch a new plan

Banana Boy wants you to meet him back at headquarters to hatch a new plan for
stopping the werebear. Go and meet him.

Increase Rank: Rascal Raccoon

Banana Boy can’t trust you with this very serious mission until you prove you are

increase your rank to Rascal Raccoon, then speak to Banana Boy.

Task: Restore the werebear (part II)

during the night, and climb to the very peak of the mountain where you will encounter
the werebear and attempt to fix him.

Join a Coven (Ingrid)
Ingrid will have the choice of joining three different covens. They become available at
separate times in the game, but once she joins one, she will not be able to join another so
choose wisely.

Coven 1 – Transfigurinas
Ingrid can join this coven after feeding Grunhilda the blabbermouth potion. Grunhilda
specializes in transformation magic and will be able to teach Ingrid many new
transformations.

Note – Skill in this coven are discussed in the Skills section.

Part 1: Junipers in June

Ingrid’s first task will be to buy a sprig of juniper from Crete Street in Halaina. Return to
Grunhilda with the juniper to complete the quest.

Part 2: Eat Worms

Ingrid will be turned into a chicken so she can collect worms from the woods outside
Grunhilda’s house. Find each of the dirt piles and dig them up with Ingrid’s beak to collect
worms. Take the worms back to Grunhilda to complete the quest.

Part 3: The Wayward Witch

Your next task is to find a coven member who went missing in Tor. Go to the top left
corner of Tor, near the exit and speak to the chicken. Ingrid will turn her into a person
and send her home. Return to Grunhilda again to complete the quest.

Part 4: Chicken Food

Grunhilda has a master plan for finding a new husband, but first she will need some
chicken feed. The chicken feed can be bought in the misc items store in Weeville after
you’ve rescued Hi’beru and have the resize potion.

Part 5: Lumberchickens
Grunhilda wants Ingrid to send some lumberjacks back to her house so she can choose
which one she likes. Go into the Gingernut Forest and find the three lumberjacks. Ingrid
will turn them into chickens and they’ll head to Grunhilda’s house on their own. Once
you’ve sent all three away, return to Grunhilda.

Part 6: Recruitment
Grunhilda wants you to recruit a new member for her coven to help it expand. Speak to
the witch in the very top left corner of Halaina. She is having trouble making up her mind
on which coven to join. Tell her you’ll help her decide and select the following answers:

Humiliate them

Aveyond 4 Page 67

Afterwards, she will decide she wants to join Grunhilda’s coven. Return to Grunhilda to
complete the quest.

Part 7: Kidnapping
Grunhilda wants somebody with a bit more status – like a paladin. Head to the crusade
grounds and find the perfect paladin on the docks to kidnap.

Part 8: Mirror Repair

Grunhilda wants to use her mirror of insight to find what kind of man she really wants
kidnapped for her, but it’s broken. Take it to the demonic cave in the Shadow Isles and
temper it in the flame to repair it.

Part 9: Another Kidnapping

Even a paladin was not good enough, Grunhilda wants somebody at least equal to a
prince. Head to Halaina Castle and speak to the king to kidnap him and take him back to
Grunhilda, who will finally be happy.

Coven 2 – Cursers
Ingrid can join this coven after completing the resize potion. Lorelai specializes in curses
and if Ingrid trains hard enough, she can even learn curse of death, which is as deadly as
it sounds.

Note – Skill in this coven are discussed in the Skills section.

Part 1: Skullduggery
The first thing Lorelai and Ingrid will need to start their coven is a nice skull they can use
to represent them. Go into the Dragon Wastelands, head over to the far left side and find
a flaming skull. Grab it and take it back to Lorelai.

Part 2: Cursed Teddy

Before Lorelai can teach you any curses, she needs you to bring her something. Enter the
large house in the bottom right corner of Tor and pick up the teddy bear and take it to
Lorelai.

Part 3: Cursed Teddy II

Lorelai has cursed the teddy bear and wants you to return it to the girl who lives in the
house you took it from. Take it to the girl, then return to Lorelai.

Aveyond 4 Page 68
Part 4: Cursed Something Else
Lorelai wants to try cursing something else now. Bring her 5 slices of bread from
Delamere.

Part 5: Recruitment #1
Enter Edith’s house in the top right corner of Wyrmwood and go upstairs to speak to her.
She likes Lorelai and will accept easily.

Part 6: Recruitment #2
Speak to the witch in the very top left corner of Halaina. She is having trouble making up
her mind on which coven to join. Tell her you’ll help her decide and select the following
answers:

convince to join Lorelai’s coven.

Part 8: Unscrupulous Delivery

Enter the guard tower in Windshire, go upstairs and place the letter down on the desk.
Then return to Lorelai.

Coven 3 – Enslavers
After you get the recipe from Jinx, you can talk to her again to join her coven. Jinx
specializes in enslavement magic which will allow Ingrid to control others.

Note – Skill in this coven are discussed in the Skills section.

Part 1: Weak Will

To practice her enslavement, Ingrid will first need to find a weak-willed man in Tor and
convince him to do something against his will. Buy some chocolate from the food shop,
then find a man in a house north west of the mayor’s house. Speak to him and talk him
into eating the chocolate.

Aveyond 4 Page 69
Part 2: Elven Cloth
Jinx requires some elven cloth for her crafting. Go to the misc items shop in Delamere to
buy some and return to her with it.

Part 3: Recruitment
Speak to the witch in the very top left corner of Halaina. She is having trouble making up
her mind on which coven to join. Tell her you’ll help her decide and select the following
answers:

Force them to do your bidding

Give them an eternal slave

The more slaves the better

Any

Afterwards, she will decide she wants to join Jinx’s coven. Return to Jinx to complete the
quest.

Part 4: Medium Will

Travel to Windshire and speak to a girl in the top-left corner of town frolicking around
the farm. Ingrid convinces her to do something against her will. Afterwards, return to
Jinx to complete the quest.

Part 5: Selling Crafts

Jinx wants Ingrid to sell more of her crafts before she can teach her anymore. Take the
item to Robin’s store and find a buyer, then return to Jinx.

Part 6: Secret Recipe

There is a secret recipe which Jinx desires, but it’s in Ulrock. Head to the misc items store
there and buy it for Jinx.

Part 7: Iron Will

Ingrid’s last enslavement test is to convince somebody with an iron will to do something
against their will. Head to the temple in Aveyond and find a priestess for Ingrid to
convince.

Part 8: Choco Dream

Jinx wants a yummy drink made for her. Take her recipe and the secret ingredient of
chocolate and make it in Ingrid’s cauldron. Give the choco dream to Jinx to complete the
quest and get the ultimate enslavement technique.

Aveyond 4 Page 70
Attract a Husband (Ingrid)
Ingrid wants a husband. And she’s going to get one.

Bachelor Number One: Boyle

Boyle is the hardest to marry. He requires seven
attraction points with Ingrid to marry.

Task 1: Buy a gargoyle for him

After saving Boyle from Fangder’s cave, he demands a
new gargoyle. Get the one Laguna Le Rouge is selling
and give it to Boyle. Boyle will be pleased by this.

Task 2: Share some crab

After completing the crab island quest, Ingrid will decide she wants to eat the crab. Buy a
large hammer from the misc item store in Ulrock and use it on the crab. Choose to share
with Boyle and he’ll be happy.

Task 3: Give him a villain’s pendant

Complete the expert tournament in Tor and Ingrid will get to decide which pendant the
party receives. Select the villain’s pendant for Boyle and he’ll be happy.

Task 4: Make him ginger biscuits

Speak to a lady in a house on the left side of Halaina who tells you to bring her a secret
ingredient for her to make biscuits out of. Give her some ginger and she’ll make some
ginger biscuits which Ingrid will share with Boyle.

Task 5: Get advice from Tei’jal

After sending Galahad home, speak to Tei’jal to ask her for advice on love. Tell her you’re
interested in a villain and she will have some pretty insightful advice for Ingrid.

Task 6: Give him a power stone

One of the things you dig up in the Petrified Plains and Daintree Forest will be identified
by the archaeologist as a love stone. After freeing the people of Ravwyn, find somebody
in the town who will transform the stone for you. Ask for a stone of power to make Boyle
happy.

Task 7: Make him a love potion

The last attraction point comes from a love potion. Once you have 6 attraction points
with Boyle, you will be able to buy the recipe from a seller in Ulrock. The secret
ingredient for the potion is rosemary which you can get from Boyle’s house.

After making the potion, defeat the final boss and Ingrid will use the potion on Boyle
during the ending.

Aveyond 4 Page 71
Bachelor Number Two: Hi’beru
Hi’beru is the easiest to marry. You can marry him
with 5 points.

Task 1: Share some crab

After completing the crab island quest, Ingrid will
decide she wants to eat the crab. Buy a large
hammer from the misc item store in Ulrock and use
it on the crab. Choose to share with Hi’beru and he’ll
be happy.

Task 2: Give him a healing pendant

Complete the expert tournament in Tor and Ingrid will get to decide which pendant the
party receives. Select the healing pendant for Hi’beru and he’ll be happy.

Task 3: Make him honey butter biscuits

Speak to a lady in a house on the left side of Halaina who tells you to bring her a secret
ingredient for her to make biscuits out of. Give her some honey and she’ll make some
honey butter biscuits which Ingrid will share with Hi’beru. Honey can be found in the
Gingernut Forest through a secret exit in Gingernut Cave. Beware, the honey is guarded
by a strong bear.

Task 4: Get advice from Tei’jal

After sending Galahad home, speak to Tei’jal to ask her for advice on love. Tell her you’re
interested in a dreamer and she will have some very useful advice for Ingrid.

Task 5: Give him a dream stone

One of the things you dig up in the Petrified Plains and Daintree Forest will be identified
by the archaeologist as a love stone. After freeing the people of Ravwyn, find somebody
in the town who will transform the stone for you. Ask for a dream stone to make Hi’beru
happy.

Task 6: Make him a love potion

The last attraction point comes from a love potion. Once you have 4 attraction points
with Hi’beru, you will be able to buy the recipe from a seller in Ulrock. The secret
ingredient for the potion is lavender, which can be collected from the new house after
finishing the Dark God quest in Weeville. After making the potion, defeat the final boss
and Ingrid will use the potion on Hi’beru during the ending.

Aveyond 4 Page 72
Bachelor Number Three: Phye
Phye is difficult to marry, mainly because he joins very
late in the game so you will have to make sure you don’t
complete any of the attraction point tasks early, or Phye
won’t be there to receive them. You can marry him with
5 points.

Task 1: Share some crab

After completing the crab island quest, Ingrid will decide
she wants to eat the crab. Buy a large hammer from the
misc item store in Ulrock and use it on the crab. Choose to share with Phye and he’ll be
happy.

Task 2: Give him a fury pendant

Complete the expert tournament in Tor and Ingrid will get to decide which pendant the
party receives. Select the fury pendant for Phye and he’ll be happy.

Task 3: Make him peach jam biscuits

Speak to a lady in a house on the left side of Halaina who tells you to bring her a secret
ingredient for her to make biscuits out of. Give her some peach jam and she’ll make some
peach jam biscuits which Ingrid will share with Phye. You can buy peach jam in a shop in
Gingernut Forest.

Task 4: Get advice from Tei’jal

After sending Galahad home, speak to Tei’jal to ask her for advice on love. Tell her you’re
interested in a Draghaar and she will have some sound advice for Ingrid.

Task 5: Give him a fury stone

One of the things you dig up in the Petrified Plains and Daintree Forest will be identified
by the archaeologist as a love stone. After freeing the people of Ravwyn, find somebody
in the town who will transform the stone for you. Ask for a stone of fury to make Phye
happy.

Task 6: Make him a love potion

The last attraction point comes from a love potion. Once you have 4 attraction points
with Phye, you will be able to buy the recipe from a seller in Ulrock. The secret ingredient
for the potion is charcoal, which can be found in a secret part of Ulrock. To get there, go
into the house next to Chester’s cave and walk into the cave opening. After making the
potion, defeat the final boss and Ingrid will use the potion on Phye during the ending.

Run a Store (Robin)
During the first nightwatch mission, Robin will come across a note on Nan’s front door as
he explores the Gingernut Forest. After heading inside, he’ll discover that his Grand Nan
has left her store to him, and it’s up to him to run it.

Wait until morning, then head to the store with the feather sign out front on the right
side of Halaina. Robin will lay claim to the store, but he will need to find a ledger before
he can sell things.

The ledger can be found in Tor, in the shop that sells mysterious trinkets after the owner
has been taken to prison.

Once you have the ledger, return to the store and Robin will place it on the desk. Interact
with it and a customer will come into the store and tell you what they want. Select the
right item from your list of rare items and they will buy it. As you sell more things, richer
customers will start to emerge and buy better things.

The table below shows you what all of the customers will want and where to get it.
