GUIDELINE FOR CASE REPORT / ASSIGNMENT

Case studies and assignments are two vital instruments for teaching this course.
Therefore students should complete the case study and assignment with due
importance and submit the report in a professional manner.

Students should follow the following instructions in preparing and submitting the case
report and assignments.

CONTENT:

1. Executive Summery

This section should contain brief description of the case problem / assignment
purpose and the results. Students should write this part after completion of
case report/assignment.

2. Introduction

In this section background of the case problem or the context of the


assignment should be discussed in 1 or 2 paragraph(s).

3. Literature Review

This part should focus on the theoretical concepts of the case problem /
assignment topic. Students should use books, research articles and internet in
order to develop literature review. Review of literature should be used to set
the framework of the article (case report or assignment). Books, articles and/or
website that will be used in this part must be cited in standard format.

4. Description / Answer to the questions

This section should describe the assignment topic or the answer to the case
questions. A number of sub-headings may be used in this part if necessary.

5. Conclusion

This section will conclude the report. It should include summary of the report,
reiteration of major findings and its implication/significance/relevance in
academia and / or real life situations, lesson learned from the assignment and
some concluding statement.

6. Company Update

This part should appear a separate section only for case studies. Usually cases
will be on different organizations and this section should present the major
changes in the case organization that might have taken place after the time
period mentioned in the case. Student should also briefly discuss the latest
information about organization’s product, operations, market, competitive and
financial status. Students will need extensive internet search for this part.
Reference:

There should be a full list of reference to be written in standard format.

TECHNICAL ASPECT:

The reports should be submitted in A4 size paper. Font style will be “time New
Roman”. Font size will be 12 will 1.5 spacing. First headings should be BOLD CAPS
and second headings (sub-headings) should be Bold Initial Caps. Margin in both
sides will be 1.5” and margin in top and bottom will be 1”.

Tables and graphs/ chart/ figures should be given in the following format:
