Download a KONE model from BIMobject

Model Purpose

The Revit Families from BIMobject are space reservation models or LOD 100. The
minimum hoistway voids are shown based on the speed, capacity, and shape of the
elevator you choose.

Download Steps
1. Chose a configuration
• Front Opening
• Seismic Front Opening
• Front and Rear Opening
• Seismic Front and Rear Opening

2. Download the Revit family (.rfa) and the matching Revit Family Type Catalog (.txt)

3. Place both files in the same file path on your local hard drive.

Load a KONE Revit family with a type catalog into your project
1. In a Revit project, click the Insert tab -> Load From Library panel -> Load
Family.

2. Navigate to the directory containing the family you want to open and select the
family, .rfa file to load. Click Open.

3. In the Type column of the Type Catalog, select the configuration you would like to
load and click OK.

4. Find your custom configured BIM file in the Revit project browser, under the
Specialty Equipment Category.

5. Place within the project. Adjust the total travel as needed, in the family properties.
