INTRODUCTORY SPEECH

Today, I am so pleased to have the chance to introduce our guest of honor

and speaker. She is a living manifestation of a woman of virtue and simplicity
in her whole life endeavor.
She was born in Logpond, Siay Zamboanga Sibugay on November 03, 1988.
Her achievements even when she was still student are truly commendable as
they mirror her great sense of hard work and perseverance. In this very same
place, she also graduated as salutatorian in the year 2005.
Bold-spirited, she hurdled countless challenges in her professional career. In
year 2009, she earned her degree of Business Administration major in
Marketing from the University of the Philippines, Visayas Campus as a
consistent college scholar.
In the year 2010, she entered the government service and took an oath as a
Jail Officer Trainee of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).
She underwent the 4 months Jail Basic Recruit Course at the Jail National
Training Institute in Camp Vicente Lim, Laguna. During graduation, she was
awarded as First Honor in academic proficiency and also a recipient of a
certificate of merit as second honor in the over-all academic and non-academic
proficiency from the entire class of 50 trainees. She then rendered her duty
as a full pledge jail officer at Cagayan de Oro City Jail-Male Dorm, Region 10
and held positions as Admin and investigation clerk since 2011 up to 2017.
Her portfolio of professional development and continued learning is quite
fascinating. While working as Jail Officer, she enrolled in night classes at
Xavier University College of Law in 2011. She remained tough and determine
despite the rigorous demands in work and law school. In March 2017, she
successfully graduated and earned her Bachelor of Laws or Legum
Baccalaureus (LLB) degree in Law.
In April 2017, she received a special order for transfer of assignment to the
BJMP National Headquarters. She is currently assigned at the Office of the
Chief BJMP as Admin officer.
In June 2017, she got married with his destined husband Mr. Rudy Yhagan B
Malag. Being a soon to be mother is a glory she always aspires in God’s perfect
time.
After all, she had become the person she is now because of the virtues and
tenets that was also developed and nurtured during her education in this alma
matter.
Our guest speaker is a woman I personally admire because of her principle,
strong determination, wisdom and generous heart and spirit.
Please help me welcome our Guest of Honor and Speaker NOVELYN HICAR
MALAG.
