Hi There!
Thanks for downloading Wordner Print & Play. You’re about ready to have a whole ton of fun!
To prepare the game, print out this document on thick paper and cut out the cards.
1. Two piles of cards - 108 blue prompt cards and 108 orange starter cards.
2. 3 to 10 players ages 14 and up.
3. Some paper and a few pens/pencils.
To begin the game, one player is randomly selected to be the judge. The judge picks a blue
prompt card, reads it out loud, and places it on the table face up. The judge then picks an
orange card, reads the three starter words out loud, and also places it on the table.
The other players finish the prompt using one or more of the starter words. Each response is
called a “wordner.” Wordners may change the starter word by using it in a phrase, changing its
tense, making it plural, or adding additional letters to it.
For example, the starter “run” can create the wordners “runs”, “pig grunt”, and “running all the
way home.”
The finished wordners are written down and handed to the player on the judge’s left. This
player reads them out loud, and the judge selects his/her favorite. The player whose wordner
was chosen takes the blue card and wins the round.
The player to the judge’s left now becomes the judge and a new round begins. The first player
to collect 5 blue cards wins.
