1. Cleanliness/Orderliness
a. Signboard identifying the year/section of students & name of teacher-adviser
is mounted, and framed class program is displayed at the entrance of the
room.
b. Floors are clean, smooth and shiny but not slippery.
c. Walls and ceiling are dust and cobweb free, painted but not glaring to the eyes.
d. Potted plants inside the classroom are nontoxic and non-thorny.
e. Framed chalkboards/whiteboards with chalk/marker and eraser box are
firmly fixed on the wall facing the class.
f. DepEd Mission-Vision- Core Values, pictures of Filipino heroes and
crucifix/any religious icon (optional) are posted above the blackboards/white
boards.
g. Clean/dust free chairs/desks, shelves/cabinets/ magazine rack, broom stand &
tables (teacher’s & observer’s tables), etc. are arranged properly for students
to freely move around during group activities.
h. Sayings/quotations with readable font size/style & free from grammatical
errors/Philippine sceneries big enough to be seen by the entire class are
appropriately displayed.
i. Each pupil has his/her own health kit and drinking glass
2. Display Boards
They contain updated and logically organized information that suit to the needs, abilities
and interest of the learners.
a. Eight (8) subject corners with concise information, catchy captions and
relevant images
b. Any three of the following display boards: NDEP/Barkada Kontra Druga,
NGP, DRRE, GAD, GAD-based iC CEBU, reading corner, display of
students’ outputs, classroom policies usually crafted by the teacher and
learners based on school rules and regulations, etc.
c. Bulletin Board/s for announcements/reminders such as incoming school
activities, class achievers, monthly birthday celebrators, cleaners/host teams,
daily routines, etc.
d. Class tracking system/supervisory corner showing the monthly enrollment,
number of students present/absent and teacher’s daily time record
3. Instructional Materials
a. Teacher-made instructional materials are competency-based, localized/
indigenized/contextualized, well-arranged and artistically/creatively
displayed.
b. Curriculum Guides (CGs)/Teacher’s Guides (TGs)/Learners’ Materials
(LMs) and lesson plans/DLPs/DLLs/LEs are placed on the observer’s table.
4. Assigned landscaping Area
a. Flowers, medicinal plants and vegetables are healthily growing despite disuse
of insecticides.
b. Label/signage provides the name & uses of each kind of plant.
c. Recycled materials are used as pots and garden accessories.
d. Plants are properly trimmed and safe from parasites.
