Erase DTC
IMPORTANT!
To erase any DTC the "Erase DTC" operation in Vodia
needs to be performed after the fault been repaired.
When the "Erase DTC" operation been performed the
system needs to be shut down in a proper way with
ignition off.
If the EATS system needs to be drained the ACM per-
forms an afterrun, then it can take up to 2 minutes
before the system has shut down properly. Only if the
system has been properly shut down the DTC will be
erased. If not erased properly an engine derate could
still be active.

Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation
SPN [FMI]: 636 [7]
DTC node: EMS
Failure type: Wrong Mounting Position
DTC description: Bad correlation between camshaft position sensor signal and crankshaft
position sensor signal. Engine transmission is not correct.
Monitoring condition: Continuous electrical monitoring of the camshaft position sensor voltage
waveform.
Fault indication: Yellow alarm status.
DTL: 5 seconds
DTC stored: Yes
Replacement value: None
Symptom: • Engine is difficult to start or does not start.
• Uneven engine running.
• High fuel consumption.
DTC conditions: • Phase error.
• Incorrect signal.
Probable cause: • Intermittent / faulty sensor signal.
• Incorrectly mounted camshaft position sensor. Wrong distance
between the sensor and the gearwheel.
• The camshaft is one or more cogs wrong in the transmission.
• Damaged gearwheel.
Action: 1 Check all cables and connectors between the sensor and the EMS.
2 Check the installation of the sensor. Please refer to workshop manual
(group 21-26).
3 Check the camshaft sensor signal. Use an oscilloscope.
4 Check the correlation between the camshaft signal and the crankshaft
signal. Use an oscilloscope.

Low Pressure Fuel System Pressure - Too Low
System: Fuel System
SPN [FMI]: 94 [18]
DTC node: EMS
Failure type: No Sub Type Information
DTC description: Low fuel feed pressure.
Monitoring condition: Running conditions
Fault indication: Yellow alarm status.
DTC stored: Yes
Replacement value: None
Symptom: None
DTC conditions: Fuel pressure is lower than expected.
Probable cause: • Closed fuel cock.
• Low fuel level.
• Blocked fuel fine filter/pre-fuel filter.
• Leakage in the fuel system.
• Fuel tank ventilation is clogged or closed.
• Air in the fuel system. Air leakage in the low pressure system.
• Faulty fuel pressure sensor.
• Blocked strainer/filter in high pressure pump inlet (from pre fuel filter).
Action: 1 Open fuel cock. Check fuel level, hoses and fuel filter for leakage.
Check that the fuel hoses are not blocked or squeezed. Change all fuel
filters. Bleed the fuel system.
2 Verify good tank ventilation function.
3 Run the engine from a separate stand-alone fuel tank. Since the high
pressure pump is sucking the fuel from the tank, a search must be made
for air entry between the high pressure pump and the tank. Check for
air leakage.
4 Check the fuel pressure sensor by control measuring the fuel pressure.
Please refer to workshop manual (group 21-26).
