Fault Codes
Erase DTC
IMPORTANT!
To erase any DTC the "Erase DTC" operation in Vodia
needs to be performed after the fault been repaired.
When the "Erase DTC" operation been performed the
system needs to be shut down in a proper way with
ignition off.
If the EATS system needs to be drained the ACM
performs an afterrun, then it can take up to 2 minutes
before the system has shut down properly. Only if the
system has been properly shut down the DTC will be
erased. If not erased properly an engine derate could
still be active.

Symptom: Derate according to the engine protection map.
DTC conditions: At conditions where the SCR is in controlled operation, the conversion rate of NOx has
fallen below the allowed limit.

be one or more of the following:
• Urea crystal buildup in front of SCR
• The dosing valve/nozzle or hoses are fully or partially blocked
• Upstream NOx-sensor is outside normal tolerances
• SCR catalyst is cooled down by flowing air during diagnos monitor test and fails to
convert enough NOx
• SCR catalyst is damaged and has limited performance
Action: 1 Check for other DTC that could cause this DTC to be set
2 Check the AdBlue/DEF quality or concentration
3 Check for leakages of exhaust gases between engine and SCR inlet
4 Check for damaged or missing insulation of exhaust pipes. Check that installation
requirements are fulfilled according to the installation manua
5 Perform Vodia "Urea Dosing Test". If dosing test fail:
- Check for blocked urea flow in nozzle/hoses. If necessary, change the hoses
- Change the dosing valve. If dosing valve is replaced run VODIA routine "Urea
Adaption Reset"
6 Check for urea crystal buildup. Refer to "Troubleshooting EATS, Crystal
Inspection" (available in Product Center as a workshop manual)
7 Check NOx sensors

must be met to ensure correct log data:
High EATS-temperature (Exhaustgas temperature) >280°C and engine running in
steady-state (No quick changes in engine speed and torque) for > 2min.
If needed, use back office for analyse support.
If any NOx sensor is replaced run VODIA routine "Urea Adaption Reset"

With the VODIA diagnostic tool the error memory of engine electronic device can be read out. Errors created by
the EATS system will also be monitored. In case of a malfunction of the system the error code given by the Vodia
tool can be analyzed with the help of the below shown table which includes a code for the main system parts.
