Pastillas, also known as Pastillas de Leche or Pastiyema is a

milk-based confectionery with origins in the town of San


Miguel in Bulacan, Philippines. From San Miguel, pastillas-
making spread to other Philippine regions such as the
provinces of Cagayan and Masbate.

Chicharon or Chicharrón originally came from Spain


which eventually became famous in countries with
Spanish influence. There are now different types of
Chicharon: fried pork rinds, fried pork belly, and even fried
mutton, beef and chicken. Sta. Maria,bulacan is now
crowded with different Chicharon stores.

INIPIT

Literally means pressed, or the custard-filled sandwich,


that has earned Bulacan a name for itself. Ingredients such
as eggs, milk, sugar and butter make up the chiffon
sandwich. The custard filling, which is the secret
ingredient, is the clincher to the scrumptious “inipit”
delicacy.
