Design projects as a Design Engineer execute following responsibilities:

 1. Execution of project to be completed with Quality, Timely & Technically


characteristics.
 2. Preparation of Design Procedure with technical specifications, CAD
Drawing, data sheets, schedules, material take off and BOQ for MEP.
 3. Selection of material of MEP.
 4. Mainten Design standards of local codes.
 5. Prepare Head load & Electrical load, list indicating critical loads, Max
Demand calculations and single line diagrams.
 6. Prepare design reports for MEP.
 7. Prepare circuit and layouts for large power, small power, lighting,
Ducting layout, Diffuser layouts, Cooling Units, Sprinklers and Pipe layout.
 8. Coordinating MEP Systems with Client, Archture and Vendor.
 9. Review technical submittals and provide comments as necessary on
time.
 10. Attend necessary design meetings with the client.
 11. Carryout necessary site visits for addressing any design / co-
ordination issues.
 12. Testing Commissioning of MEP systems.
 13. Identify quality issues prepare site quality reports
 14. Prepare Maintain all the records of Design Development
 15. Check all the as fitted layouts documents. 1
 16. Prepare final list of Sign off on Project closure reports.

 Electrical - Distribution systems involving, Substations, Transformers,


HV/LV Switchgear Panels, Lightning Arresters, Protection System, PCC,
MCC, Diesel Generators etc. including Protection and relay coordination,
Short circuit study and voltage drop calculations on cables, bus ducts by
conventional method and also by software.
 Lighting requirement calculations conventional and by special software
such as Dialux, etc. using AutoCAD drawings.
 Earthing calculations for electrical system and for lightning protection.

 HVAC
 b. HVAC ? Understanding of Ducting, Piping, VRV, Chillers, Split Systems,
Chilled water, Cooling towers, Radiant Cooling, AHU?s FCU?s, Pumps,
Exhaust Fans, Smoke Ventilation, basement Ventilation, Fresh Air, etc.
Understanding of HVAC design software?s for HEAT load / Duct sizing.
 c. Fire ? Fire Hydrants Sprinklers, Fire Pumps, Fire Piping, Hose reels, Fire
detection systems, Fire extinguishers, Gas based systems, Fire Curtains,
etc.
 d. Plumbing ? Water Distribution systems, RWH system, Water Purification
? WTP, STP, Storage Tanks, Hydro-pneumatic Systems, Irrigation Systems,
Water fixtures, etc.
 e. BMS / PLC IO calculations, SCADA System integration / interfacing with
other services such as HVAC, Fire Alarm, Security, CCTV Cameras,
Lighting, Electrical, Data, Voice and other communication Systems etc.
