1.Why did you choose this title?edna

 We choose this topic because when we conduct our field study from fs1 to fs5
we always observed that some of the pupils are not interested to their studies
and because of that they are getting low in academic performance, And based of
that observation, we developed are interest to know the causes of having low in
academic performance of those pupils. And one of the reason that we found out if
why they are getting low in academic because they are having a broken family.
That’s why we got an idea to conduct this research. We believe that this study
can help us to have a better understanding about the behavior of those pupils,
and also help them to cope up in this of situation and to improve their academic
performance.

2. Summarize your Topic. joy

Broken family is defined as a family that has a split or separated due to a
variety of reasons. Broken family can cause children to question their self-
worth.There are a number of causes as to why a family could be broken and these
causes can give impact to the academic performance of pupils.

3. What are the limitations or problems that you encounter during

your studies? dinah
 One of the problems that we’ve or I encountered during our study is time or
the schedule that we do our research because time is very important in our thesis
research because we need many times to do work in our thesis but I am working
student I need to handle my time going to work in 9am to 2pm and after work I
am going to school.and if i have time I do my best to help them in our thesis.

choose this method?
 The kind of method that we use is qualitative method because…………

5.What are the recommendations in the study?dinah

Nothing to change maam because everything will happen according to our
plan and we reach our objectives.
6.Relate your study to the present?rachel
The different studies that we red, it give us more knowledge while we are
doing our research. And were doing research for the benefits of other
researchers as well, in other words we are helping each other because when it
say research it is intended to be shared as always.

SCOPE:

Our study covers the grade 6 pupils at san bartolome E/S during the school
yr 2019-2020 and to know how a pupil from broken family affects their academic
performance. Twenty pupils were selected as our subject of the study. This study
shall focus with the experiences of the pupils and to know their reasons why they
are involved with a broken family

The significance of our study, it provides details on how the study will contribute
and benefit from it. It includes here our explanation of the work's importance as
well as it's potential benefits. Like students, parents, teacher community, local
government units and the future researchers.
