TM Recycle IT Sdn Bhd is the region’s premier provider of comprehensive large scale
Recycling and IT Asset Management services. Established in 2001, TM Recycle IT Sdn
Bhd is proud to possess an impressive array of clientele ranging from the various
sectors of the Governmental Departments, Government-Linked Companies,
Multi-National Corporations, Institutions and other entities. TM Recycle IT Sdn Bhd is
an appointed contractor of the Malaysian Department of Environment (DOE) or
Jabatan Alam Sekitar Malaysia bearing the Code SW110 for the proper recycling of
Electronic Waste or E-Waste.

Rethinking is the most effective of the 3Rs and
the way to begin, and is also the most
complexed, as it requires letting go of some
notions like ‘new trumps old’. We are always
re-thniking and finding better, more effective
ways to recycle in our commitment to a
healtheir envrionment.
Reuse
Before we recycle or dispose the E-Waste, we
evaluate whether it has life left in it, and put it
back to use. Reusing keeps new resources from
being used for a while longer, and old resoures
from entering the waste stream.
Recycle
Recycling is the utilisation of something old and
turning it into something new. This involves
making new products out of old products. This
means the potential landfill wastes become a
new product hence protecting the
environment.

ABOUT E-WASTE
E-waste or Electronic Wastes encompasses of electrical appliances or electronic
items in a state of disrepair, obsolete or has reached its end of life. This includes
everything from electronic items such as computers, servers, printers to household
appliances such as microwave ovens, fridges, television sets and many more. It is vital
and of utmost importance that the correct method of disposal is applied for the
environmental protection and to achieve a sustainable future.
THE EFFECT OF E-WASTE

With the improper disposal of E-Waste, hazardous materials and metals such as
mercury and lead found in computers and other E-Wastes are buried in the landfill,
leaving toxins to leach into the ground and to the waterways, thus damaging lives
and the environment. At TM Recycle IT Sdn Bhd, we ensure that all E-Waste we
handle are disposed in accordance to the rules and regulations of the Malaysian
Department of Environment (DOE).

1. Dismantling Process
All the collected electronic waste recorded, verified and weighed before it is
categorized and sorted by individual components. These individual components is then
dismantled and stripped down into electronic waste stream with various materials.
2. Electrolysis Process
The dismantled electronic pieces are placed into an extraction tank where gold is
separated from other materials through electrolysis process. The gold flakes obtained
from the process is collected and stored carefully. A similar process often carried out to
extract other materials such of copper and other precious metals.
3. Separation Process
The processes electronic parts are crushed into powder for further processing. We use
linear, circular and elliptical, vibrating and gravity separators depending on the
materials to be processed. The separation process allow the materials to be further
filtered and stored.

Secure Data Destruction using Degauss Method
Degaussing is a systematic process of reducing and eliminating unwanted magnetic
field (or data) stored on storage devices and catridge tapes. When exposed to
powerful magnetic field of degausser, the data on storage devices are neutralized, or
completely erased, Degaussing is the guaranteed form of hard drive erasure method,
such as it serves the standard method data destruction.
Our Degaussing system at TM Recycle IT Sdn.Bhd will guarantee that your

information is no longer retrivable:
• Degaussing is a demagnetizing process to erase data from storage devices.

Computer Data Secure Destruction

Method
Secure Data Destruction using physical Destruction Method
Destruction of data by physically destroying the hard drive, can render it completely
unusable and unreaderble. Physical destruction is also an option for:
• Hard drives which don’t have the necessary interface on computer to connect.
• If the hard drive is not relaibly boot to run the software based erase method.
• This method is for those who do not want their data readerble even under
forensic analysis.
Ways we carry-out Data Destruction on the hard-disk drives using Physical

Destruction method:
• Drilling
• Grinding
• Crushing
This method of Data Destruction using physical destruction method is not

accompanied with the Data Destruction Certificate, hence it is not recommended if
documentation and and proof of Data Destruction is required.
All residual parts and particles from the physical destruction process are recycled in
full conformance to the Malaysian Department of Environment (DOE).
