In the editorial entitled “Choosing Nephrology—Or Not” that appeared in the April 2013 issue of AJKD
(Adams, volume 61, issue 4, pages 529-531), there were errors in the citation information for reference 1. The
correct listing follows:
1. Shah HH, Jhaveri KD, Sparks MA, Mattana J. Career choice selection and satisfaction among US adult nephrology
fellows. Clin J Am Soc Nephrol. 2012;7(9):1513-1520.

The errors have been corrected in both the HTML and PDF versions of the article online.

Erratum Regarding “Daily Variation in Death in Patients Treated by Long-term

Dialysis: Comparison of In-Center Hemodialysis to Peritoneal and Home
Hemodialysis” (Am J Kidney Dis. 2013;61[1]:96-103)

In the Original Investigation entitled “Daily Variation in Death in Patients Treated by Long-term Dialysis:
Comparison of In-Center Hemodialysis to Peritoneal and Home Hemodialysis” that appeared in the January
2013 issue of AJKD (Krishnasamy et al; volume 61, issue 1, pages 96-103), the bar graph labeled as Fig 2 was a
duplicate of Fig 1. The correct version of Fig 2 appears below. Neither the figure legends nor the conclusions of
the article is affected by this correction.

Figure 2. Occurrence of cardiac deaths in 10,338 hemodialysis (HD; black bars) and 4,298 peritoneal dialysis (PD; white bars)

Erratum Regarding “KDOQI Clinical Practice Guideline for Diabetes and CKD:
2012 Update” (Am J Kidney Dis. 2012;60[5]:850-886)
In the special section entitled “KDOQI Clinical Practice Guideline for Diabetes and CKD: 2012 Update” that
appeared in the November 2012 issue of AJKD (Nelson, Tuttle, Bilous, et el; volume 60, issue 5, pages 850-886),
there was a typographical error affecting meaning. In particular, on page 874, in the first sentence under the
heading “Newer Agents that Target the RAS”, the first sentence referred to “microalbuminuria” when it should
have used the term “macroalbuminuria”. The corrected sentence reads in full as follows: “One 6-month phase 2
study of Aliskiren in the Evaluation of Proteinuria in Diabetes (AVOID) reported a further reduction of
albuminuria with the addition of the direct renin inhibitor aliskiren to losartan in patients with type 2 diabetes and
macroalbuminuria.”
