to achieve planned objectives, which could be defined
in terms of outputs, outcomes or benefits. A project is
deemed to be a success if it achieves predetermined
objectives within an agreed timescale and budget.

Project management, then, is the application of

knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project
activities to meet the project requirements. A project
management professional needs a wide range of
skills; often technical skills, and certainly people
management skills and good business awareness.

The Project Management programme is
offered as an eMDP (executive Management
Development Programme) by Indian
Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIM-K)
delivered via an online Interactive Learning
platform and broadcast directly to the
participant’s device (Desktop/Laptop/Tablet/
Smartphone)

Duration of the programme is 4 months involves 50 hours of instruction by IIMK faculty
via the Interactive Learning platform, held in 3-hour sessions on Sundays. Participants
have the comfort and convenience of accessing the live lectures through their devices

Eligibility Criteria
Graduation in any discipline and relevant work experience of minimum 3 years in project
domain after graduation.

Delivery
Live interactive instruction sessions delivered by expert faculty from IIM Kozhikode
Direct-to-Device (D2D) programme accessed by smart phone/tablet/laptop/desktop
The programme will be conducted over the course of 4 months with classes conducted
once a week, on Sundays from 6.45 p.m. to 9.45 p.m.

Duration: 2 days mid of the program

Evaluation Methodology
Evaluation methodology is the discretion of the faculty. The methodology includes online
exams, case analysis, class contribution and any other component as decided by the faculty.
A minimum of 75% attendance is a prerequisite for the successful completion of this program.
The programme may require participants to work on individual/group assignments and/or
projects. The main objective of such assignments/projects will be to help the participants apply
their conceptual learning in the programme to actual organizational decision scenarios. The
participants will have to secure the minimum pass marks in the respective evaluation components.
Participants who successfully complete the same and satisfy the requisite attendance criteria,
will be awarded a certificate of completion. Participants who are unable to clear the evaluation
criteria but have the requisite attendance will be awarded a Participation certificate.

Certificate
A minimum of 75% attendance is a prerequisite for the successful completion of this
programme. Participants, who complete the same and satisfy the requisite attendance
criteria, will be awarded a certificate of completion.

Participants who are unable to clear the evaluation criteria but have the requisite
attendance will be awarded a certificate of participation.

About IIM Kozhikode
Spread over 100 acres of land, the Indian Institute of
Management Kozhikode is situated on two hillocks in
the Kunnamangalam Area of the ancient city of Calicut
in Kerala.

Boasting of one of the most picturesque and oxy-rich
