Reading/Language Arts
In Language Arts our learning targets this week have included:
*review of year learning so far!
Dates to Remember *”es” added to words that end in “ss”, “ch”, “sh”, and “x”
* words that have the r-controlled sound made by “or” and “ore”
Feb. 17 No School/Winter Break *Sight word review
Feb. 28 Blizzard Beach Day *blending sounds
March 2-31 Reading Month *verbs that don’t need “s”
March 12: ½ day *Our skills in reading this week include monitoring and clarifying and fact and
Parent Teacher Conferences opinion. When we monitor and clarify we stop and think about what we are
