ABC Development Organization

ABC Development Organization is a non-government organization working in microfinance,

natural resources management, rural housing etc. It is a civil society operating in Rajasthan. It
also works to empower rural tribal people of the district Dungarpur, it does so by providing
them free education, an access to financial system to these tribal women of the Dungarpur
district. It also hires locals for its operations. The financial systems provided to these women
operate at a very low technical and formal level, despite the financial systems in the
comparative industry having very high technical and formal approach to it. This low level of
formalization and technical dependence is sustainable as it has not created any problems for
the organization. This is a very informal organization which has a very less rules to follow. As
it did not matter for it previously, where small size of the organization could be sustained
without any formalization and written rules and regulations.

There is more following of guiding principles than the rules at ABC Development organization,
This is not sustainable for the long run, ie , if the organization plans to expand and empower
other districts of Rajasthan itself, then it will have to have some formal operations and standard
operating procedures as well as some rules and norms for its employees to replicate the same
model which they have in Dungarpur itself.
